Week 47 - La Madrid

Hey Everyone!

This week was another amazing one! We had 3 baptisms Sunday and I couldn´t be happier! This coming week is the last week of the transfer and since we blanked the area, we don´t know who is going to leave and who is gonna stay so we are working like crazy so that the next companionship here has their hands full with investigators. Here are the highlights of the week:

-Last week for P-Day we went to Carlos Paz!!!! It´s a super touristic city about 30 minutes from us and we went with 2 young men from our ward, it was so sick! Look up the city on google, it´s beautiful! We went on an hour hike to the top of the mountain there and we could see the whole city!

-Yesterday we had our goodbye party for President Alliaud and his family with the whole mission! It was sad but cool to see all that he has accomplished in his 3 years here. He did something really cool - the whole mission got on their knees in the chapel and President said a prayer and gave us a special priesthood blessing and it was soooooo powerful and the Spirit was so strong! It was amazing! President also taught us how to make the perfect maté as well haha. It was fun to see old comps and friends from the mission yesterday though!

-Crazy story: So one of our baptisms on Sunday was invalid... a guy that is 19 years old and right now the counselor of the young men baptized his cousin, and then afterward they confirmed her with the gift of the Holy Ghost. Then the guy that baptized her realized as we were eating refreshments that he wasn´t ever ordained a Priest and he was still a Teacher! He went inactive when he was 15 and recently came back and nobody even thought about that, so that was pretty exciting. Looks like we have another baptism this week! haha.

Yeah that´s about it. We have a ton of good investigators but just like always, it´s a challenge getting them to church. It´s a good challenge though because if it wasn´t so hard, it wouldn´t be so gratifying in the end. So don´t worry, all is well here in Argentina! I will have a new companion next week so I´ll email all about that! I hope you all have a great week! Thanks for everything! Ciao!
