Week 6 - Last Week at the MTC

Hola Familia y Amigos!

This week has been absolutely amazing! To start things off, I'm feeling so much better!!!! I can finally taste food again and I only have a runny nose now! And I can finally play basketball & soccer again! It's amazing! So much has happened this week and I won't be able to fit it all in but I'll try!
So as many of you know, missionaries get to go to the temple every week here for P-day here and it's the best! We call the lady that gives us our temple clothes "Mama" and today (in about 3 hours), she is making us "her mean bowl of spaghetti." She says that she only makes food for her favorites and that we are definitely her favorites :) so I'm looking forward to that!

This week was hard because we had to say goodbye to all of our teachers and investigators! One of my teachers, Hermana Pipkin, is getting married RIGHT NOW!!!! It's crazy! She was so dedicated though, on Thursday she came to class totally prepared and taught a great final lesson, even though she was getting married in 2 days! My other main teacher, Hermano Stewart, is the bomb too! I'm almost positive he'll be an apostle someday! His testimony is so strong and he's just a stud! Plus he is a HUGE soccer fan so we talked a lot about RSL, USA, and Chelsea a lot. :)

Our zone had a massive tie swap this week too with over 50 ties, and I was picked DEAD LAST! So I got the worst of the pile, but it's actually not that bad of a tie so it's whatever. We're doing another right before we leave though so I'm just putting it right back in the mix haha.

It's so crazy to think that I'll be in Argentina in a few days! I love the MTC but I can't wait to get into the field and go to work! My Spanish is on-point for now, but I know I will feel like it's terrible when I get down there!

Also, I'm so excited for my final American meal! I already know that I'm getting a McDouble, french fries, and a 6-piece Mcnugget at McDonalds before I get on the plane! I'm seriously so excited!!!! I've heard more and more good things about the food in Argentina though. This week I heard that their ice cream is even better than ours so I'm so stoked for that! The one thing I'm not excited for is the 14 hour plane ride from Atlanta to Buenos Aires and then the 14 hour bus ride from Buenos Aires to Cordoba. I'm sure it'll be good though!

Thanks everyone for the packages while I've been in the MTC! I have way more food than I know what to do with so I'm trying to pack it all into my suitcase, we'll see if that actually works! I know this is God's work and he is guiding me in everything I do. I am reminded every day of my own nothingness and Heavenly Father has humbled me so much while I've been here, and I know He'll continue to humble me throughout my mission! I love this Gospel and I love this work! Have a great week everybody! Ciao!
