Day 261 10/28/19
We did the usual P-day things.

Day 262 10/29/19
We taught 5 lessons. It was great, then we ran into a guy who said we were teaching a different gospel. He was saying God changes us so we can believe in christ, or something like that. It was confusing. Then he said that Christ didn't die for everyone, only a few. It was frustrating, we gave him a copy of the Book of Mormon and a Restoration and Plan of Salvation pamphlet. We are meeting with him Saturday afternoon. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I know that Jesus died for all of mankind. That salvation is a free gift but we have to put in effort and do certain things to be exalted.

Day 263 10/30/19
We had a meeting with the stake president at his house. They fed us breakfast and then we had a training on how to have enough faith to work hard and see miracles.
It amases me that not all missionaries are what they are made out to be. You have missionaries who go through the motions and don't care. You have missionaries who don't work, there are missionaries who are overbearing, rude, ill-tempered, crude, and lazy. It's disappointing.
We helped set up and take down the ward trunk or treat. We took most of the left over hotdog buns and all of the left over hotdogs. We will distribute our bounty to the district tomorrow.

Day 264 10/31/19
Today we didn't do much. We had district council. Our district leader made brownies and we distributed hotdogs and hotdog buns to the district. It was good we now only have 24 hotdogs left and like 30 some buns. We went by a member and talked to him for a bit, then taught about repentance. I find the simile in Isaiah 1:18 to be so fascinating. The scarlet dye of the Old Testament was not only colorful but also colorfast, meaning that its vivid color stuck to the wool and would not fade no matter how many times it was washed. Satan wields this reasoning like a club: white wool stained scarlet can never go back to being white. Sharon Eubank, First Counselor in the Relief Society General Presidency said in the April 2019 Sunday morning session. Says "The scarlet dye of the Old Testament was not only colorful but also colorfast, meaning that its vivid color stuck to the wool and would not fade no matter how many times it was washed. Satan wields this reasoning like a club: white wool stained scarlet can never go back to being white. But Jesus Christ declares, “My ways [are] higher than your ways,” and the miracle of His grace is that when we repent of our sins, His scarlet blood returns us to purity. It isn’t logical, but it is nevertheless true." We can be forgiven and made clean if we use the repentance process. This process consists of 6 steps 1. Acknowledge that we have sinned, 2. Stop doing the sin, 3. Confess what we have done to God, 4. Keep the commandments, 5. Remember Jesus Christ.
I know that we can be forgiven and we can return to live with God again.
It was also Halloween, we wspent it locked in our apartment.

Day 265 11/01/19
We had a lesson with Robert and then went by a few people. We tracted a street very far from our apartment. We found two people who said we could come back.

Day 266 11/02/19
In a short 100 days my mission will be half done. Spooky. We biked some where around 23 miles or so. We biked up the steepest hill in out area it is called Calle Real. It's only .4 miles long but it is steep. We had a lesson, we'll it was a discussion about we are saved by Grace with Peter. He invited us to his church and we invited him to ours. Problem is they both start at the same time. We went by some members who have a house that was built in the 1920s that is right on the cliff that overlooks the ocean. It was built for the oil tycoon Doheny. The members also showed us their collection of church history books and let us hold some first edition copies of the Book of Mormon. It was cool and a nice way to end the night. Elder Roberts almost got hit by a car on the way back to the apartment, but he didn't get hit so nothing too exciting happened. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior that he lives and it is through him we can all return to live with God again.

Day 267 11/03/19
It's fast Sunday. I bore my testimony on how Jesus Christ is our Savior and it's because of him that we can be saved.
After church we biked to the other side of our area to go by some people in the same apartment complex, so it was convenient. We taught 3 lessons and now have three new people to teach. It's great. We went by a lady who we tracted into who speaks English but is more comfortable speaking Spanish and we referred her to the Spanish missionaries. We saw some birds of paradise (they aren't actually birds, I was disappointed too)
We went to a Fireside about not being racist and being one in Jesus Christ. It was good.
