Day 247 10/14/19
We do anything on P-day or at least nothing note worthy. We had a policy change for Facebook, that's why it's changed. I didn't go home.
Day 248 10/15/19
We went by a lady who said to come back Sunday morning but we forgot so we went back this morning. She was there and she talked to us, I got sick while they were talking about her mom having cancer (me getting sick was not related to the subject of the conversation. The culprit was the pan cakes I had that morning) I interpreted and asked if I could use her bathroom. She said "yes" so I was directed to the bathroom then I vomited into the toilet. The lady gave me a glass of water after and then we left. I didn't eat anything but a small cup of apple sauce for lunch then I starved until dinner where I had some rice and beans. We went by a less active member who is getting off morphine, he was happy to see us. He said he was doing pretty well. Not much happened, a very hard day.
Day 249 10/16/19
Today we went by some people, not much happened. We had a lesson with an elderly woman named Barbara. We had two sisters from the ward come with us. They all got along with well. We taught the Plan of Salvation. It went well, on the way back to our apartment I almost hit a Coyote who was taking a stroll up the bike lane. I maved to the left it jumped onto the hill and I went on my merry way. Latter in the evening we had a Bible study with a man named Matt. He invited us to the study a week ago. Their study was on friendship from Proverbs 18:24. The verse in their bibles the beginning half of the verse was completely different from the King James Version of it. But it was a good study none the less. We had to leave halfway through because we had an appointment with a recent convert to get to that we were late too by an hour. They didn't know we were coming by late either. It was a ruff.
Day 250 10/17/19
We had district council. During a role play I rudely corrected the district leader on how the prophet Moroni gave us Ether 12:27 not the prophet Ether. He rebuked me and helped me see the error of my ways, but I also felt that he went to far and said things that were not deserved. We went by Barbra to see if she had read the pamphlet. She hadn't. then another person we were teaching canceled the lesson we had scheduled for that evening. Not much happened the rest of the day.
Day 251 10/18/19
We went to the mission office to get a new gas card for our car. Apparently someone cloned ours and so the bank canceled the card. We went by Barbra again to see if she had read the pamphlet. She said she did, but she felt that she was to old to change and didn't want to learn more. We had another lesson fall through. I (this isn't in order by the way) had time to reflect on my life and my actions and see that I'm not the nicest person at times. I asked Elder Roberts to tell me if I was arrogant and or acted like I knew more than anyone else. He said I was sarcastic but that was about it. But if my sarcasm is offensive I should stop saying sarcastic things. We went on exchanges, I went to Elder Jennings' area (he's the district leader) I was with his companion Elder Serr (pronounced seer) I got to drive the car, it was not as bad as I thought.
Day 252 10/19/19
I forgot a change of clothes on the exchange so I made due. Slept in church clothes. The exchange went well, again not much happened. But Elder Serr and I get along well. I helped him understand the time line of the Book of Mormon. At the end of our exchange Elder Jennings forgave me for what I had done during district council. He asked if I would forgive him, I gladly did and now all is well. Just in time too Elder Jennings got transferred so I probably wouldn't have seen him again.
Day 253 10/20/19
We went to church, I gave the opening prayer. It wasn't too bad because my eyes were closed. The most important thing that happened today is I learned for myself that I Was THE ONE WHO WAS WRONG. For awhile I have taught that the sacrament does not complete the repentance process. But it does, Gosple topics states "In return, the Lord renews the promised remission of sin and enables Church members to “always have his Spirit to be with them” (Doctrine and Covenants 20:77). The Spirit’s constant companionship is one of the greatest gifts of mortality" then a quote from Elder Ballard “We are commanded to repent of our sins and to come to the Lord with a broken heart and a contrite spirit and partake of the sacrament in compliance with its covenants. When we renew our baptismal covenants in this way, the Lord renews the cleansing effect of our baptism. In this way we are made clean and can always have His Spirit to be with us. The importance of this is evident in the Lord’s commandment that we partake of the sacrament each week" Its vague I think in the scriptures, but if we have the Holy Ghost with us we are clean.
