Day 240 10/07/19
Well we didn't do all that much, P-day after everyone is tired of playing basketball or some other game just calls home and so for 2 hours or so there is nothing to do.

Day 241 10/08/19
It has been a while 8 months, how exciting now I just have 16 left 1/3 of the way done. I have learned so much about the Gospel and what missionaries do, in the past 8 months. We called a do not contact and they wanted to meet with us. Problem was he lives in the Anaheim Mission. It was foggy.

Day 242 10/09/19
We talked to some Jehovah's Witnesses and got a book about what they believe it is very interesting. We also saw a squirrel before we talked to them.
We referred the Do not Contact guy to the missionaries in the Anaheim mission, hope things go well. Not sure why he was in our area but he is no longer.

Day 243 10/10/19
We had district council and were instructed to testify when we teach and to promise blessings. Good things, we found two new people to teach and we have been teaching 3 lessons a day so we are going to meet the expectation of teaching 15 lessons a week. We handed out a copy of the Book of Mormon to a teenage girl and taught her the Restoration on the door step. She said it was interesting and she would read the Book of Mormon. I am pained by things I have done that are not in accordance with God or his Comandments. If you feel this too, know that you can find peace and forgiveness. The Atonement of Jesus Christ will make us clean all we have to do is use it.

Day 244 10/11/19
We planned for the week, it took a long time 4 hours or so. One of the persons we were teaching said he didn't want to meet with us anymore, so that was a shame. I think he'll come around. I have a greater appreciation for each day I am on this mission. In 244 days I feel like I am completely different from who I was when I started. (that's a good thing) I found a stash of teachings of the Presidents books in our apartment, they will make a fine addition to my collection. I learned about the 3 Nephites in my studies and you can too, if you read 3 Nephi 28. I am grateful for another day and for tomorrow. We saw some dragons too!

Day 245 10/12/19
Well the day started out by setting a wet pan on a hot burner forgetting about it and setting of the smoke detector, then trying to get the detected to stop for 5 minutes or so. We didn't find any new people to teach, but we taught some Jahova's Witnesses about the Plan of Salvation and they agreed with what we were saying. I have completed my collection of Teaching of the Presidents of the Church I now have all 15 of them and collectively they weigh 11 pounds.
We went on splits with the district leader. The new missionary he is training went with me and Elder Roberts went with the district leader. In short I and my temporary companion for 2 hours didn't have a SIM card so we couldn't call our other companions and tell them where we were, we found each other with the help of the member that was feeding us dinner.

Day 246 10/13/19
We went to church then went and gave a blessing to a member who is going to be getting off morphine and will be going through withdrawals. We talked to a Jahova's Witness and I learned that Elohim doesn't appear in the Bible or any text of ancient scripture. My companion and I later did research into the new Testament looking for John 4:26 where Jesus says that he is the I Am of the Old Testament, and again in John 8:58 where He says again that he is Jehovah. So now I am trying to find a new world translation of the Bible so I can compare it with the King James Version. I was attacked by a small rat dog of Mexican origin. It ran out the door jumped up and tried to bite my thigh but missed because my knee was bent. But it scrashed my knee on its way up and down then turned once again to do it so I shewed it away with my foot and it ran back inside. The lady that answered wasn't interested. Any way here's a little bit about testimonies. The Gosple Topics defines a testimony as "A testimony is a spiritual witness given by the Holy Ghost. The foundation of a testimony is the knowledge that Heavenly Father lives and loves His children; that Jesus Christ lives, that He is the Son of God, and that He carried out the infinite Atonement; that Joseph Smith is the prophet of God who was called to restore the gospel; that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Savior’s true Church on the earth; and that the Church is led by a living prophet today. With this foundation, a testimony grows to include all principles of the gospel."
Some how the primary kids with their simple testimonies, cary more conviction than that of the long adult testimonies, I'm not sure if some adult "testimonies even qualify as testimonies, but more like stories with no real gosple point".
