Elder Love

1 baptism, 1 hour of church, and 1 missionary going North!

We have a super busy day and lots of stuff for me to cover so it will be unproofread and hopefully tolerable but lots of grounds and not lots of time.
First, Rodrigo was baptized on Saturday. Everything went great. It was such a wonderful experience. Words don't do justice, but seeing someone who has gone through struggles and really wants to what was it right has been a great experience. I can honestly say that I was not the one to convert him, I just got the privilege to be the person credited with teaching him.
Sunday rolls around and Rodrigo receives the Gift of the Holy Ghost. Afterwards he said that he had been worried about the baptism going smoothly but just felt peaceful after. The ward is also doing an exceptional job at taking him in, it has been a while since Moss last had a convert baptism but the support we have had is great.
So after the confirmation and the sacrament the power in the church went out. We waited a little bit, but then it was decided that the speakers would speak mic free. They did that, we sung some more, and sacrament meeting concluded. It was then announced that they had decided to cancel the rest of the meetings, so we were done with church.
We ended up having our planned member meal for the evening early and Rodrigo came along. It was to the family in the ward who speaks very little Norwegian but are Spanish. Rodrigo spent a lot of the time helping them with Norwegian, and he felt right at home.
Today is also moves day, and I'm headed to Tromsø, one of the most Northern cities with missionaries. It is going to be crazy, during the summer the sun doesn't really set. I am stoked, and also my companion I met day 2 in Norway. He was the elder to give me half of his reindeer burger as I headed to Ålesund so I already have a good first impression of him!
Well thought for this week is D&C 20:37 And again, by way of commandment to the church concerning the manner of baptism—All those who humble themselves before God, and desire to be baptized, and come forth with broken hearts and contrite spirits, and witness before the church that they have truly repented of all their sins, and are willing to take upon them the name of Jesus Christ, having a determination to serve him to the end, and truly manifest by their works that they have received of the Spirit of Christ unto the remission of their sins, shall be received by baptism into his church.
Gotta go do some stuff but have a great week!
