Elder Love

Touring the church.

First item this week is golfing! We were able to go to the range and man was it great. Not much had changed golf skill wise, I could hit some good ones but there were still plenty of bad shots.
Rodrigo is continuing on track to his new date, June 16th. We had a dinner appointment with him and a member couple and over the course of the meal it ended up being the member telling us about the gospel and Rodrigo confirming what the member was saying as truth and encouraging us to take it to heart. Not typically how teaching goes but it worked great.
We have given two of the three school tours we had scheduled and it has been great so far. Last thursday we gave one and we just barely gave the second one. It's an interesting experience teaching the gospel to a school group. The majority of the kids are unwilling to ask questions but there is always one student who just starts asking away. Overall just a very unique experience.
We also attended a baptism for the other missionaries in our district. It was great, but they did give everyone a scare during the actual baptism (Except for the Missionaries, we were informed before hand what was going to happen). The person being baptized had decided that he wanted to be held under the water for 10 seconds, why I'm not exactly sure. So they did that. About halfway through all the members started gasping and freaking out and worried something was going very wrong. Moral I learned, don't hold people under water too long.

Spiritual thought: D&C 18 10-1310 Remember the worth of souls is great in the sight of God;11 For, behold, the Lord your Redeemer suffered death in the flesh; wherefore he suffered the pain of all men, that all men might repent and come unto him.12 And he hath risen again from the dead, that he might bring all men unto him, on conditions of repentance.13 And how great is his joy in the soul that repenteth!
We've shared the "Because of Him" video at the end of the tours and it helps me to remember how large a role the Savior should be in our lives.
Pictures are all from the golf course.--
