Yep, out of unique ideas for the subject line this week.
Splits: Elder Egan who is serving in Fredrikstad came up for splits this week in Moss. Some highlights from that was visiting a old lady who is an inactive member. We are pretty sure she is Swedish because we couldn't quite understand what she was saying. She was busy at the moment so perhaps we will try again another time, hopefully being able to understand.
We also tracked down some baptismal clothing for people who will be baptized this Saturday in Fredrikstad. We probably went through every room in the church at least twice before finally finding the correct closet. We also will be able to attend the baptism, so that's pretty sweet.
We taught Rodrigo the first lesson, went great. We found out that he had a neighbor years ago who was a member and when Rodrigo encountered some hard times in his life called that friend in order to get in contact with the church, so that is how we ended up getting in contact.
Also had the oppurtunity to wreck a bathroom! A member needed it done by Monday so we were happy to help out. It's quite enjoyable to just have a time where you don't have to really think, you just focus on ripping some boards off of walls and breaking down the walls after.
And random tip for assembling trampolines: Paint rollers work exceptionally well in order to attach the springs. Just take off the roller part and use the metal stick to attach the springs.
Last major thing this week was Stake Conference. Much different experience from home. There are only 2 stakes in all of Norway so there were about 20 missionaries present and it was broadcast to some of the farther areas. Apparently the missionaries also took a group picture after the conference but our ride was leaving so we weren't a part of it.
Matthew 22:36-40 36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.38 This is the first and great commandment.39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Loving and caring for others really is what live is all about. Pure and simple.
Had more pictures, but forgot my camera, so those will come next week. This was a dog that we met while we were out, Standing up I would say it was probably a little taller than me. I tried to stand a little closer but when I attempted that the dog wasn't too happy with me.
Yup, that was the week.--
