Ciudad del Este, Paraguay

Elder Bezzant

Week 90 (CDE) Transfer Calls....Goodbye CDE

Well folks!

The transfer call came in on Friday and I will be spending my last 6 weeks in the mission away from Ciudad Del Este! Kinda feels unreal since I have spent over half of my mission here in this city in these two wards but I know that this transfer is from the Lord. Elder Bezzant and I were quite discouraged when we first heard the news but during the day on Friday the Lord provided us with several experiences that helped us humble ourselves and really see that this is his idea. That he has inspired President to make this change for a reason and that we need to go forth with faith to complete his will. So with that, we are more animated than before! But still, I am gonna miss Elder Bezzant like crazy. I love that guy, we have got along so well! But I will see him in the Leadership Council these upcoming weeks and I guess in a quick 6 months we will just have to get back together in college and talk about the good ole days in Ciudad Del Este!

My new area will be San Ignacio! It is about 8-9 hours from here on the other side of Paraguay! It will be a little different because the church is not as strong there as it is in Ciudad Del Este. The chapel will be a rented house and it will no longer be a ward but a branch! But from what I have heard it is a great area with great members and the Lord is blessing the work alot out there! My new (and final) companion will be Elder Soto from Paraguay (maybe he can help me with my Guarani so I can speak a little bit when I get home) and we will be entering the area together at the same time. In our mission we call it a "White Wash". It will be a cool experience! I am excited!

Another cool part of the transfer is that Elder Andrus will be one of the district leaders in our zone and Elder Peters (another Elder who dies with us will be the other) and so when we travel to their district meetings we will see them! That will be fun!

Well tonight I will head off to Encarnacion in an overnight bus and find Elder Soto there and then we will head off to the town of San Ignacio! I know the Lord has prepared many experiences that I need to have there and I am excited to submit myself to his will!

I really am gonna miss CDE. On Sunday the Bishop got up in Sacrament meeting and asked me to share my testimony and announced that "after about 8 months I would be heading out"....and so I got up there and it was pretty sad.....but the Spirit was really strong and I was grateful for the opportunity. I love Barrio 2. They were really great to me.

Well not much more to report....considering my trip starts in like 4 hours I had better get going!

I love you all!
