Ciudad del Este, Paraguay

Elder Andrus

Week 70 (Ciudad Del Este)

Hello everyone!!!

It was a pretty good week here in Paraguay!! It poured last monday but other than that it hasnt rained all week! That means it never cooled down even once.....but I prefer that over road rivers (no drainage system here) and mud EVERYWHERE! So I guess nothing to complain about!!

On Saturday Evelyn was baptized by her dad and it was a really neat experience! Her mom (who was hit by a motorcycle 6 years ago and can hardly walk) was able to come and it was really spiritual! The Bishop gave his testimony and shared how he could see the family Gamarra with eyes of Faith. That they stay active and become sealed in the temple as an eternal family, that their kids serve missions, and that they have generations in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It was a really neat experience! Evelyn even ran to the front on Sunday when they called her to be confirmed. She was so excited!

Elder Andrus and I are working with some other families too that we are really excited about. They arent quite ready to be baptized but all progress at a slow but very steady rate. Surely they will become completely converted but probably in several months! But it sure is an awesome experience teaching each one of them. The Gospel is wayyyyy better in family!!

Other than that....we are really happy! The Zone is killing it and everyone is a happy camper!! Which is awesome! And even better President called us and said that it is such a successful area that he is wanting to send more missionaries here! We are excited for that!!

Its a short letter but sorry! Mom and I are trying to figure out BYU. Real life is coming and Elder Willardson doesnt know how to handle it......hahah good thing I still have 6 months here :)

I love you all!
