Week 55 (Ciudad Del Este)
Hello Everyone!
It was a great first week with Elder Can! We work great together! It is always a huge change to go from training to having a companion who has a lot of time on the mission. But I actually like it! Its fun to be on the same level teaching! And we are working really well together! And he likes to eat out more than Elder Viveros, so that is great for me but bad for my wallet!! OH well....
This week we had a great week! Carlos and also his girlfriend Andrea too are both sooooo interested in the gospel. We had a lesson with them on Wednesday and we invited them to be baptized on November 12 because we knew they had to get married before baptism. But on Friday when we went to set a date for their wedding we discovered a problem.....he has to get divorced.....and divorce in Paraguay costs like 1000 dollars. Which is just an insane amount of money, especially for them. Really i dont know what the solution will be and when it will come....but we are trying everything posible. I am worried to break his heart if he cant get baptized on that day because he is set on it. But oh well.....we will just keep trying to animate them teaching them new things and try to solve this problem!
Estela! Which is an investigator from like 4 months ago started to progress a ton this week! We were able to help her recognize the Spirit she felt at the baptism she came to a couple weeks ago and invited her to pray about a specific date to see if God wanted her to get baptized. We went back the next day and were surprised to hear that she wants to be baptized. She came to church this week and will be baptized on November 5!
Well those are the top 3 and since I took a lot of time to write that I will hold back on the others! But in the next weeks I defintiely will!
I love you all! Thanks for everything! I cant wait to come home and have time to tell all the spiritual experiences that we are having because there is just not enough time on Monday to write!
