Elder Choque

Week 36 (Virasoro)

WELL I guess nobody recieved this when I sent it last week....que bummer :/ Here it is again! LAST WEEKS LETTER

Well you may have noticed that I put a subject on this letter and I never put yes this is a big letter.... and just like it says in the title I have the BEST news ever and the saddest news at the same time!

The GOOD - After an insanely spiritual lesson on Tuesday with the Ceròn Family they decided they wanted to be baptized. And they wanted to do it on June 4. So we scrambled to teach them all the commandments (all of which they not only agreed to keep but were EXCITED and THRILLED to keep) and they had their interview on Saturday and they are beyond ready and converted and they will be baptized this Saturday June 4.

The SAD- I will not be here to see it........................................... The call for transfers came today and I have been transfered. I had a feeling that this would happen when all of these things started to take place, but I have done some thinking and a lot of praying and I know that this isnt my baptism, it is the Lord´s. And also I am content with the opportunity of having been able to have all these wonderful experiences with them and even if I am not there for the Baptism I will always have them in my hearts. Also I will definitely be getting the pictures.

Well with that said....I guess I will explain my Transfer.

So I will be going INTERNATIONAL again! I guess I am just a border hopper! I have been assigned to Ciudad del Este 1st Ward (YES a ward!!!) and my companion is Elder Viveros (I think he is in his second transfer of training). I also will be serving as the District Leader.

So although it is pretty rough leaving the Cerón family, like I prepared myself thinking, I know that the Lord makes transfers not President and with that I am just trusting in him. I am also pretty excited for the new responsibilities and opportunites to grow. I will just have to keep working.

Well other than the big news, in general it is sad to be leaving. The members are great and the investigators are on fire. We had 5 in church yesterday and the Hermanas had 4. 9 investigators in Sacrament meeting! It was awesome.

Well to leave you with a scripture in Juan 5:39
"Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me."
I love this scripture because of the experience we had this week. So Luis Carlos and Leydi decided they wanted to be baptized on June 4 but told us to call them the next day at 12 to confirm because they wanted to pray about it. We called and they told us about an experience they had reading the Bible in Acts and how it was the perfect confirmation to their prayers. Wow incredible these days.

Well I love you all and thank you for everything! This time next week I will be in the biggest city in the mission!

With love,

Elder Willardson
