Carlos Antonio Lopez, Paraguay

Elder Lobos

Week 20 (Carlos Antionio Lopez)

Hello Everyone!!

I am writing you currently from Encarnacion! I will be leaving for Asuncion tonight and drive all through the night in bus to arrive tomorrow do a few tramites and then another 8 hours or so back! We came our 6 hours from Carlos today and yeah tiring day but igual!!

Aside from that we had Zone Conference on Friday so we came Thursday to Encarnacion and left again on Friday! Originally we planned on staying here and doing splits with the Elders for 6 days but in the end we decided to make the extra trip back to work for a day and especially be there for church on sunday because there are only 2 other preisthood holders in the group.... It only was hard because it rained a lot this week and so both times we wanted to leave the collectivos werent coming or going to Carlos so we had to find another way to the route and stop a collectivo from the side of the road ;) It is always an adventure in Carlos!!
So if I am not tired of travel yet....I will be in the next couple of days! But it is all good because after this we are done for the month and we can settle in and I am really excited to focus all in on the work!!

The group is good! We already have a couple investigadors that look like they really have potential and Elder Lobos and I are really trying to become better teachers of the Gospel and focus on their needs! None of them have been able to arrive at church yet but we did have a less active family that we have been visiting come yesterday and the other members were extremely happy! It was fun to see them there! I think we reached 23 yesterday!!

Well Carlos is good. We dont have a washer or nothing so I was washing straight up in bucket but for how much dirt and sweat I have my shirts werent getting clean enough so I found a hermana to wash my clothes for me and I pay her a couple dollars which really helps her family out. So I am glad I have solved that problem and one less worry!

Things are going good, I really am adjusting. Both to the area and to my companion, I really feel like this area is ready to progress and so while I stress that I wont be able to do all I can, I am putting my trust in the Lord and trying my hardest!

Well I really appreciate all the prayers that are said in behalf of me! I really can feel the power and love of all of you. Thank you so much!

With love always,

Elder Willardson

PS Here is a photo of Elder Lobos and I in front of the chapel (house) and also a picture from about 10-15 minutes outside Carlos on the "highway" to Encarnacion ;)
