Obera Argentina

Elder Quintanna

Week 18 (Obera)

Well everyone,

If I was your favorite Elder in Argentina, I will not be anymore.....

Because I am headed to Paraguay!!

Tranfers came today and so this time next week I will be in Carlos Antonio Lopez, Paraguay. I will know for sure on Thursday when I get there but what I know from Elder Cano who served there is that is a really small town about 3 hours from Encarnacion (one of the bigger cities in Paraguay) and there is a "group" of about 12 members there. I didnt even know groups existed in the church but I am super excited to be a part of one. Like I said I will know more next week but I am excited for the change because I feel like it will help me keep progressing into the missionary the Lord needs.

Ponderization this week was in 2 Nephi 26:33
"33 For none of these iniquities come of the Lord; for he doeth that which is good among the children of men; and he doeth nothing save it be plain unto the children of men; and he inviteth them all to come unto him and partake of his goodness; and he denieth none that come unto him, black and white, bond and free, male and female; and he remembereth the heathen; and all are alike unto God, both Jew and Gentile."
I love this scripture because it is such a reminder that the Gospel is for everyone!! We are all his children. Every single person we pass every single day is a child of God and the gospel of Jesus Christ can bless them. That is why I am so happy that I can be serving as a missionary because I have the oppurtunity to help people find more joy in their lives.

This week was a good one. In the Church yesterday we had 70 people again! What a sight! I played the piano again....(I wonder who will play now that I go) and also I gave a talk! I would send a copy of it but.... it is in Spanish :/

Yesterday we had these investigators and also 4 menos active famalies that we are working with, I am sad to leave so many great people that are progressing so much but I know that the Lord has called me another way.

Manuel and Camela: I really am going to miss Manuel. I have really grown to love him and of all the investigators or people I have met in my 4 months here, he is my favorite. I know that one day he will be baptized, and he will never leave the church. His desire is so strong and inspiring. We talked about baptism and he doesnt want to put a date until he feels ready, so we didnt push him. He wants to quit smoking and be 100% ready to make his covenant with God and start out on the path to Eternal Life. I am really gonna miss him. His sister Camela is listening too and starting to come to church.

Marcelo: Marcelo came again and he is awesome! He is gonna progress slow but I know that whether it be in 1 month or 20 he will be baptized and go to the temple with his wife. He also asked us to come by his house too so that was awesome. We havent taught him since my first transfer. Maybe his time is now!!

We had an interesting experience that I have to share this week. So we were walking to this Old Folks home with a sister from the branch to go visit and do service and we witnessed the death of a chicken. Literally like 5-10 feet in front of my face! It got scared and ran right out in the middle of the road and boom a pick up truck came really fast and ran it

Well I got a busy couple days of packing and saying good bye so I will keep it short!

I love you all!

Elder Willardson

PS: I keep forgetting but thank you to everyone who sent Christmas Cards and Pictures and whatever else! You all make my day!
