Elder Quintanna

Week 17 (Obera)

Hello again!!!

Wow week 17 I am definitely boring you all by now...You still get me for like 80 more :)

This week I was in 3 Nephi 11:3
"3 And it came to pass that while they were thus conversing one with another, they heard a voice as if it came out of heaven; and they cast their eyes round about, for they understood not the voice which they heard; and it was not a harsh voice, neither was it a loud voice; nevertheless, and notwithstanding it being a small voice it did pierce them that did hear to the center, insomuch that there was no part of their frame that it did not cause to quake; yea, it did pierce them to the very soul, and did cause their hearts to burn.
I love this scripture because I was studying this week about revelation through prayer. This scripture really stuck out to me because the Spirit is so powerful but we have to really invite it and really listen for it. Like it says in the scripture, they didnt "understand it". Am I doing everything that I need to be doing to keep my life in a way that I can always UNDERSTAND the voice and the direction I am recieving? The Spirit is essential in all of our lives and that is why I want more than anything to develop my personal relationship with Heavenly Father so that I can know what he wants from me in every moment without doubt through the promptings of the Holy Ghost.

This week was a bit different. Elder Nielsen and I had infamous Tramites again this week and so we did divisions and went to Posadas. All was fine until there was a problem and we ended up having to stay 3 days............horrible. Wednesday afternoon to Friday afternoon...We didnt bring a towel a change of clothes nothing. Out plan was to shower right before we left in the afternoon on Wednesday and then Shower as soon as we got home Thursday morning, but Tramites had other plans! Oh well, experiences are all part of the mission!! It was good because I did divisions with an Elder in Posadas and it is always good to learn from other missionaries and yeah! Also I got to see Elder Smuin!!! From the MTC! I missed that guy! We stayed in his pension and so that was fun to hang out with him! Also In Posadas there was a Panaderia that had brownies!!!! (Really rare in this part of the world) And then I had Subway before we came home too! It wasnt America with the Brownie and with Subway but it was close :)

Yes we went Bowling. I will attach it. I know it looks like I am in the United States but I am not.....I can testify because the pins were attatched by strings and that is not real bowling I tell you!! I am just playing it was so fun and suprisingly quite cheap! I bowled over 100, so I guess I am pretty much pro. I finished in second though, so I have room to improve.

Well it is official. I am the Branch Pianist in Obera......sometimes it doesnt turn out 100% but igual I guess it is better that I play at least because it is better than nothing. So I am happy to help out, even if I am not as good as I want myself to be!

This week should be fun! We have Zone Wide Divisions tommorow which is kind of strange but I am excited because the Zone Leaders paired me with Elder Mora from Chile and he has become one of my good friends here in the mission! And then we have a WorldWide Broadcast for missionaries on Wednesday. And President is coming sometime this week, so it should be fun! And then transfers the next, wow how time flies! Well I hope it continues to fly because it is unbelievable how hot it is here. Someone told me at Tramites that in their area it hit 122 and so Obera is probably close to that (I sweat as I write this....) The only problem is because of AZ I am used to hot, but dryyyyy hot. Here is humid hot and wow......somedays I am gonna die! So hopefully summer ends soon!!

Well I love you all! Hope all is well! Thank you to everyone who writes me and keeps me animated! It really helps.

Until next week,

Elder Willardson
