Obera Argentina

Elder Quintanna

Obera (Week 16)

Hello Everyone!

Sorry today is a bit different, the zone leaders decided to change our Zone Meeting from tomorrow to today last minute, so we went today to Garupa and had our zone meeting! It was really cool because the asistants and President came and that was unexpected but anytime we can hear him we are gonna accept it!!

This week I was ponderizing in Alma 36:3
"1 My son, give ear to my words; for I swear unto you, that inasmuch as ye shall keep the commandments of God ye shall prosper in the land.
3 And now, O my son ELDER WILLARDSON, behold, thou art in thy youth, and therefore, I beseech of thee that thou wilt hear my words and learn of me; for I do know that whosoever shall put their trust in God shall be supported in theirtrials, and their troubles, and their afflictions, and shall belifted up at the last day
I love this scripture because it is a reminder that whoever is obedient will recieve blessings. And when they are obedient and trials come they can trust in God and he will always help them. That is something that I have to do yes or yes in the mission. The first law of heaven is obedience and the obra misional is not easy. I need the divine help of God in every minute. But it is his work and so he is always ready to give, if I earn it. (also who doesnt love when we can substitute our names in for scriptures!)

Wow I am really flustered today. I dont even remember what happened this week because my head is going one million times an hour. But it is a good flustered because it was a busy day! I will try to count the best of my experiences!

We had two services this week and wow. Two mountians of service. I defintely have some crazy experiences under my belt from these two. One of them we had to climb up on the roof of a sister and clean out her water tank. The only problem is it started to pour and we got cold standing up there for 3 hours and also it was a super difficult task to clean the tank because we had to reach in with a towel, soak of the water and then ring it out. Over and over and over. Probably 500 times. At one point I had to jump up and GET INSIDE the tank. That was probably the worst idea Elder Quintana has ever had. The second we had to go to a ladys house and cut all the trees and wood that had fallen and every branch and clear it out. I actually took pictures of this one, but it doesnt do it justice....igual no mas!

Wow, Obera is really coming along well. And I couldnt be happier either because I have passed through some hard times here in my almost 4 months (whoa). Yesterday we reached 70 people in Sacrament. This was the goal I set for myself when I first got here with Elder Vinces and we were having about 50 more or less coming. Yesterday was awesome! We had 3 investigators this week again (SO AWESOME) and also 4 less active famalies came! Wow, and I think it is the same in the other areas here in Obera. But Elder Quintana and I are having some serious success, it makes my job that much more fun! But igual, even without success, I love being a full time representative of Jesus Christ.

Well today is short because we didnt really have P-Day, we just had Zone Meeting and then played some ping pong and had lunch and then came home and we only have like 2-3 hours here and we are gonna do bowling!! We are lucky enough to have a small bowling alley here but it only opens at 6 and P-Day typically ends at 6 so we could never do it! But because of our weird schedule our opportunity finally came!! I will send pictures next week!

Well I love you all! Thank you for all you do for me!!

Elder Willardson
