Week 14 (Obera)

Hello Everyone,

Okay first off I have to apologize for lying. I said I would write P-Day on Friday this week and while P-Day is Friday still we realized as a mission that the Cybers wont be open on New Years Day and so we can write today but then go out and work after. I cant wait for normal schedules again!

Ponderization!! This week I was in Helaman 10:4
"Blessed art thou, Nephi, for those things which thou hast done; for I have beheld how thou hast withunwearyingness declared the word, which I have given unto thee, unto this people. And thou hast not feared them, and hast not sought thine own life, but hast sought my will, and to keep my commandments.
I love this scripture because as a missionary this is my calling. This is the commandment I have from the Lord at this time. While 2 years sounds like forever, in the big picture of life it is almost nothing. I have to not waste my time in this work. I have to give it my all, 100%, and seek the will of God, not my own. It is nice to remind myself of this always because of the blessings that Nephi recieves for his work and I know those same blessings are awaiting me according to my faith and dilligence!

Well not much to report this week other than Christmas. And I already wrote a little bit on Christmas. Defintely was different but the Skype was so awesome!! Also I will be including a picture. For Christmas Eve, we cooked tin foil dinners. They turned out amazing, that was a little reminder of home!

Yesterday we had the opportunity to visit a complex for Children without Parents and do a little service of spending time with the kids there. It was so neat. A Sister in the church works there as the caretaker for 6 kids. She lives there and is basically their mom. It was a really neat complex and the kids were really happy to see us so we felt good spending time with them.

We had Transfers today. I know Transfers were 2 weeks ago but really the only thing that changed was my companion and maybe 2 or 3 others. President wanted to keep everyone for Christmas and so now it was basically a real transfer. The 4 Elders in Obera are staying so for 4 more weeks, at least, I will be writing from here!
Well kinda boring but I dont have much more to write about. Nothing too exciting happened besides Christmas this week so I dont have a ton to share. But that will be a good break for you all because tipically I write way too much and so yeah.

If you have leftover Christmas Cards SEND ME THEM! It is never too late! If you have sent me a card it is probably here I just havent recieved it because it is in the office. But at the least it will come this month when President comes for interviews!
