Obera Argentina

Elder Quintanna

Week 13 (Obera)

Hola! Feliz Navidad! (Even though I sit here sweating

Wow what a crazy week this was....but first always with Ponderization!

This week I was in the Bible in Proverbs 3:5-6
" 5 ¶Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thypaths."
I absolutely love this scripture because with the business of the week there was a lot of stress...with a new companion and preparing a baptism and with 2 christmas activities there was a lot going on. But this scripture immediately came to mind because the Lord has a plan for everything, we just have to trust in him. My dad sent me a talk and something that really stuck out with me that justo went just along with what I needed this week was that the way we view trials or problems depends directly on what we truly think about the Savior Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father in our hearts. That is super profound, but it really opened my eyes and strengthened my testimony that EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON. I can testify of that without a doubt. We can always learn something from everything and the mission really has helped me with that.

Yamile was baptized folks. I am so happy for her, her life is so hard and I know that making this covenant with God will truly help her have peace and happiness that God has for her. She really is an amazing lady. I am so excited to keep visiting her and watching her progress.

The Christmas activities were both great! We really enjoyed ourselve with the Branch where we did an activity as missionaries in the which the members had to do a Santa relay which was quite funny. They had to put boots a rain jacket (no coats here) and a santa hat and do 15 jumping jacks. It was so fun! There was other songs and activities and it was really good for the branch. The Zone activity for the mission was amazing! We had a dinner watched mr kreugers christmas in spanish and played algunos games like bowling and connect 4 and Hermanna LaPierre made cookies and frosting and I thought I was in the States again.....and at the end President dressed up as Santa and the Assistants as elves and gave us each a little present with like a journal and other stuff in. It was really awesome!

Something else fun this week is I blessed the Sacrament for the first time in Spanish. That really isnt huge news I guess but it was really cool because it really made me think that how awesome is the church. It is the exact same in every part of the world. It doesnt matter what language or where in the world, it is the exact same. And that is good beause that is exactly how the restored church of Jesus Christ should be!

Oh I almost forgot, my new companion is Elder Quintanna from Paraguay. He is super fun and we have really bonded in just one week. We are teaching so well together so I am excited for the future!

Because of Navidad today isnt P-Day for us! so if I dont respond to all then that is why. We only have a little time to write this morning and then we are going out to work this afternoon!

I have a lot of pictures so I will try to send as many as I can!!

I love you all and hope you have the Best Christmas! I invite us all to remember the reason for the season and watch the video by the church "Hoy ha nacido un Salvador" I think it is something like Today, A Savior is Born in English! It really is awesome and helps us all remember why we are even celebrating and then why we are even here and how we can return to God again. Google it! It is only 2 minutes and it is amazing!

Merry Christmas!

Love always,

Elder Willardson
