Week 9 (Obera)

Hello Everyone!

I cant believe I am already writing again! This week literally passed by so fast...almost too fast (uh oh I only have 3 months and I am already saying that)

This week I was ponderizing in 2 Nephi 26:13:
"And that he manifesteth himself unto all those who believe in him, by the power of the Holy Ghost; yea, unto every nation, kindred, tongue, and people, working mightymiracles, signs, and wonders, among the children of men according to their faith."
I love this scripture because it is so true! The Lord will manifest himself to all who want him. It doesnt matter their country race language or anything! He is EVERYONES savior. And the key part, he will show himself according to faith. If I really think about it I think everyone has the power to see Christ, just very few have the required faith. He wants to show himself but he has to let agency and faith run its course! Something interesting I thought about during this week! I want to have that faith!

The weather here this week was absolutely amazing! Incredible really, I cant even explain! The only downside is that is reminds me of Arizona in this time of the year (but maybe even better). And then that reminds me of Thanksgiving is this week and that is kinda sad because these Argentines dont celebrate that wonderful day but igual I am so happy to be hear immersed in the Gospel and for the blessings I am recieving and that hopefully the people Elder Vinces and I are working with are recieving, it is totally worth it to miss a Thanksgiving...or two!

Yamile is doing great! We had an amazing lesson with a member this week! It was honestly the most powerful lesson of my mission! We taught The Plan of Salvation and the testimony of the member we brought along was so awesome! It really was a touching experience! We have a baptismal date for the 5 of December now and she said she really wants to and she is going to pray a bunch! I hope (and have faith) that it can all work out and she can have the blessings that God has waiting for her!

I had an amazing experience with Prayer this week that I would like to share. On Saturday in the afternoon we were out contacting and it was horrible. We had clapped like 15 houses and nobody had even answered let alone allowed us in. Elder Vinces and I just felt empty and we didnt feel like we had the Spirit or Power that we should have. I said "Lets say a prayer" and it was a bit random because it was just in the middle of the street, but I knew it would make us feel better for the least. As soon as I finished he said Clap this house and so I did. I was shocked, the man came out and told us to come in and wow. This really strengthened my testimony of Prayer and it really helped with my Faith that I am trying to improve every day!

Yesterday they had another election! I guess what happened is in the last one their was a tie or some rule to where they had to have another vote for the President of the Country. Because of this we had to stay in the Pension all day on order of President Lapierre and I think the Area Presidency too but it was okay, we had 4 in the pension which made it more fun. We watched Church Movies and studied and rested and it was a good Sabbath Day!

Speaking of the Pension! I dont think I ever talked more about our new roomates! Elder Nielsen from Utah and Elder Prado from Buenos Aires! They are really awesome! Because it is different living with 4 we all had some differences but last week we had one night where we just talked it out and this week was really good because after that everything was Tranquillo.

I know it is only Thanksgiving! But like I said we dont celebrate it here and so I am looking forward to Christmas already! Just kidding, but really it might be easier to say this now because everyone will be home with Family for the Holiday! But I have a small little Christmas Favor that I would like to ask of Everyone if it isnt too much trouble....
I really would love to get everyones Christmas Card!! And see everyone and their family! I think its only like 1 dollar to send a card to South America so I hope it isnt too much trouble and you can all send me one!! It isnt expensive it just takes a little while to get all the way down here so the sooner they are sent the better chance I have to get them before Christmas!!

I really hope you all can send me one! I would be thrilled!!

I love and miss you all and thank you for everything that you do! You are the best family and friends I could ask for and I am not celebrating Thanksgiving but I am definitely always grateful!

Until Next Week!
