Obera Argentina

Elder Vinces

Week 6 (Obera)

Hello to all yet again!

Im gonna break my own rules and not do Ponderization first this week because TRANSFERS!

In the words of the Zone Leaders on the phone this morning, "Elder queda!"

Another 6 weeks in Obera! I am actually really excited to stay because I am really growing to love this city and the people and its gonna be good to stay another 6 weeks here! Elder Vinces is staying too. I am also excited for that. We are really coming together and working more as a team and the Lord is blessing us with success and enjoyment as we continue to improve on that!

Now for Ponderization. This week I was focused on Alma 26:16
"Therefore, let us glory, yea, we will glory in the Lord; yea, we will rejoice, for our joy is full; yea, we will praise our God forever. Behold, who can glory too much in the Lord? Yea, who can say too much of his great power, and of his mercy, and of his long-suffering towards the children of men? Behold, I say unto you, I cannot say the smallest part which I feel."
I love this scripture because everything in ilfe is because of our Heavenly Father. I can especially see that in the mission because this scripture comes from the missionary Ammon and he is a great example of the missionary I need to be striving to be like every single day of my mission, and life for that. He helped thousands of Gods children come to know the Gospel of Jesus Christ and that is just amazing. And of course he talks about how it is all possible with God and his help and the Spirit that helps people come unto Christ. Nobody can glory in God too much!

Okay so yesterday was just amazing! We woke up to a beautiful Sabbath Morning and went to the Church early for Branch Council. We have an activity coming up so we got to talk about that alot! But the important part was sacrament meeting! A ton of people came yesterday and because of this the Spirit was so strong during our meetings. At church we had Yamile (our main progressing investigator) again and the exciting part is we had 3 Inactive FAMILIES come! It was awesome we had Pereyra...who really has made improvements over the 6 weeks and they interviewed with President and really are on the right path! We had the Family Bogado, who we visit every week and are super nice (she cuts our hair for free) but have never come while I have been here! But they both came and it was awesome! Then to top the cake Juan Torres came! And not just Juan Torres like Elder Vinces and I were hoping for, but the whole family! Wife and 4 kids too! It was awesome! Especially because the kids could come to Primary and practice the song that the primary and missionaries will be singing together next Sunday! I am super excited for that!

Yamile is doing well! I was worried because we couldnt get in touch with her for 4 days in the beggining of the week but we were able to visit her Thursday and she was on a business trip in Corrientes for all week! We taught her a lesson and left a book of Mormon assignment with her! She brought her Book of Mormon to church and yet again the members were great in fellowshipping her! We have another visit planned with her on Wednesday!

Because Hermana Cannon is leaving this week (and because I realized I had no pictures to send) we visited Jardin de los Pajaros (The Bird Garden) which is kind of like a zoo here for Pday today and it was super cool! We have a ton of pictures now so I will send a couple of those! That was really fun!

Crazy to think that my first transfer is over! Some days are still really hard occasionally and feel really slow but for the majority I am adapted and really starting to love the mission! I gotta be careful because 21 months will pass me before I know it and I gotta be focused on serving the Lord with all my heart might mind and strength!

I love all of you so much and thank you for all the support! I say it every week but I am blessed with the best! Thank you for all the letters everyone writes! It is such a treat to have a new person write every week randomly and say something nice that makes my day so thank you to everyone who is helping me along! The Church is true and never forget it!

Love always,

Elder Willardson
