I am now in Stalingrad (Volgograd). My comp is Elder Clark from Sweden. I have been practicing my Swedish and of course all I remember are the swear words so lets hope we don’t fight.
Volgograd is a very cool and historic city. I am excited for the work here in Volgograd.
We have 2 investigators at the current moment. They are doing well and coming to church.
Last Sunday we had 2 walk-ins. 1 of them walked in and started asking about polygamy. During this conversation the sisters investigator (who is probably going to be baptized soon) walked down and started listening. The walk-in assumed that we still practiced polygamy. He asked "what is the limit? 4?" I just went white like a ghost thinking about how many wives brother Brigham had haha lol. I just tried to change the topic so that we didnt frighten the sisters’ investigator. The other walk-in was African. He came to the English group. He is super cool and is down to meet. The foreigners are great and friendly to all that come. They are really good at fellowshipping.
We met a guy named Vadim. He makes his own cheese and invited us to have tea and some of his cheese. He is a super humble man and is a little quirky but he is very interesting and thoughtful. Havent really had the opportunity to talk about religion yet but that will hopefully come up while we eat cheese and drink tea.
