What a week! I got transfered back to Saratov but this time I will be in the center of the city. I am serving with Elder Lamb who is a fellow Lone Peaker.
We were teaching a lesson to a family who is super active. One of the family members brought a friend to listen. We decided to teach a very simple lesson about prayer. We brought snickers (snickers are the key) as part of our object lesson. We shared the story about the rich young ruler and how he asked the Lord what he could do to inherit the kingdom of God. We aslo shared 3rd Nephi 14;7 7 Ask, and it shall be given unto you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. We said if we have candy how would you get it from us? They answered "ask" so we gave them their Snickers. It was a good lesson and hopefully this friend felt the same way.
We have this friend named Dima. He speaks perfect English. We were walking and talking about life and why we are here. We invited him to take the lessons and he agreed. We set a lesson up for this Tuesday. I am excited.
We have a member in our ward who was an area 70. He is the best! He just lost his job because he is a Mormon. What would you do? Idk but what he decided to do was to go to a lesson with us and just help us do missionary work. That is true faith in God. He knows that it is the will of God.
Two weeks ago we were playing basketball with our friends. One of them asks me "you are a volunteer?" "For what church?" I said the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am a Mormon. He said really? you are a Mormon? he was super curious and kind of weirded out. He wants to come and speak in English and play games with us.
