Thanksgiving was good but extremely crazy!! Transfer days are crazy enough but combined with Thanksgiving made it nuts!! We had transfers in the morning. Elder Thompson and I didn’t get transferred but we did help out with transfers that morning. We had Thanksgiving with a really nice family in one of our wards. It was nice to be there and the food was great. I bet you all had a fun time hanging out with the family!! I can’t believe how big my little cousins are. How did that happen? – Thanks for the pictures. Since transfers were on Thanksgiving our next transfers are not till January 3rd. I will be in this area for Christmas which I am excited about. There are some great families in this area!! It is strange to think that I am now having all of my last holidays in the mission field. Time is really going fast. Today was 16 months – it is hard to believe.
I am glad that you and Kyle had some time off from work and school. The kids in Idaho get the whole week off. I thought that was very weird but I am sure it was super nice!! I haven't really missed putting up Christmas decorations hahaha. It’s kind of fun but we always put up way too much stuff! I totally forgot that black Friday shopping was a thing the last couple of years. lol. It’s amazing how much you forget about things back home that don't affect you on the mission.
It was pretty crazy I saw (Ethan) Elder Mehr and his family at the mission office today! He went home last week and is back to visit. It was weird seeing his brother Dalen because I knew him and talked with him a few times before the mission. They both went to Highland High School.
Elder Thompson and I got to bear our testimonies in one of the wards yesterday which was a ton of fun. It is always nice to testify of the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. Lately we have been focusing our efforts on handing out Light the World cards and showing people the videos! Christmas is always an awesome time as a missionary. We are really trying to get the ward members involved as well. Yesterday we went to different classes and showed the video and introduced it to them and asked them all how many cars they wanted to hand out to their friends this week. We gave out like 350 cards at church yesterday! The best thing that happened this week is that one of the boys’s that we were teaching got baptized. It was so amazing and he was so happy. I attached a couple of photos.
Since it was Thanksgiving this past week I have been reflection on what I am thankful for. I am thankful for my Heavenly Father, my Savior, my family, my friends and my mission.
