¡Bautismo!

Hello everyone!

Hope everyone had a great week, ours was somewhat eventful.
We were finally able to celebrate Katherín's baptism!  It took a long time, but their family is complete and now they are just waiting to be able to go to the temple in a year to participate in the blessings of the temple.  Now the baptism didn't go completely smoothly.  That same day, we had zone conference in Coquimbo.  As a result, there was no way for us to be able to fill up the font the morning of (after overfilling the font two times and almost a third, I wasn't willing to risk leaving it unattended).  As a result, the night before we called the bishop and he said that he was going to take care of it or call another member to do it.  Turns out, no one was able to do it.  The bishop was called to help the general Seventy that came to visit, then his son got sick and had to go to the hospital, and then someone crashed into him.  As a result, we got to the church, and there was almost no water, and the baptism was supposed to start in 30 minutes.  (FYI these fonts take about 5 hours to fill up with warm water and about 3 with cold).  The bishop postponed the baptism for about an hour and had a great idea to use the fire hose to fill up the font faster.  He went to change, and left us there holding the fire hose.  It was probably the coldest baptism inside of a church building in 30 years, but the good news was, I wasn't inside the water.  After everything was said and done, she got baptized and we have a new story to tell.
I hope you all have a great week,Elder Knight
