Hello everyone!
Hope you all had a great Christmas! It was a week full of miracles for us.
Christmas is such a marvelous time. All the lights, snow, and hot chocolate...oh wait, this is South America. We don't have much of that. There have been some houses that put up lights, but other than that, we've been burning like a toddler's toast. But, nothing stops the work from progressing.
Sunday we got out of lunch and looked up in the sky. To our surprise, we saw a full, complete rainbow encircling the Sun. Sadly, we didn't have a camera to take a picture, but we took it as a sign of God's favor. From how the day turned out, I have to say that it was true. We went to visit some people with whom we had talked the night before. When we got there, they were eating, but they didn't mind and had us come in and begin teaching. There were a number of amazing things in that lesson, but the biggest was something they told us at the end. They basically said (in translation) that coincidences don't exist. Everything has a cause and effect. A few months ago, two missionaries had helped their daughter/sister carry a baby cradle to a house, they had asked to be able to come back another day, but the family had always been busy. They then said that cradle was for the baby that was there with them. When they said that, I remembered carrying that cradle to that same house. Truly the Lord prepares the way for each one of His children to receive the message of the gospel.
That same night, we found one of the people for whom we've been searching for the last week and a half. Needless to say, the Lord prepared our path that day.
I hope you have a Happy New Year!Elder Knight

Just your typical South-American neighborhood. Fences, two-story cinder block houses, an antique Citroën.
