¡Hola todos! ¡Como están? Estoy muy bien y agradecido por la misión.
This week was una montaña rusa (rollercoaster). We had two intercambios (exchanges), a baptism that fell through, and a new family that we´re teaching, and now five people with baptism dates.
We got a call Monday from Nelson telling us that he didn´t want to get baptized that week. His dad doesn´t like the church and he was afraid. So, as a result of that, his baptism was cancelled. We also then had a number of lessons that fell through on Saturday. However, during the intercambios (I was not in the sector) Elder Rasmussen and the other elders put a baptism date for Nelson for this coming Saturday, and began to teach Soledad, Percy, David, and Carlos. They are a family of Bolivianos that came to church one day. They want to all be baptized together, and now have a baptism date for February 23rd if we can get all the lessons done in time. They are amazing and we have lots of hope for them.
I spent time in La Florida (La Serena) and Brillador (La Serena) this week. I learned a lot from Elder Soto (district leader) and Elder Franz (zone leader). They are both great and a lot of help. I have learned even more how important it is that we remain firm in our identities as Children of God and as missionaries called by Him to bring the gospel to those who have not had the opportunity. Truly this is a great marvelous work and a wonder. The Good Shepherd knows his sheep, each and every one.
