Hey y'all!! So this week was actually pretty normal. Pretty bland and not too much happened so sorry if this email is a little short.. how was yalls week??? I did have a few exciting things happen! I had my interview with president Wakolo so that's always awesome! We also got another investigator who is pretty awesome! On the downside our top investigator C isn't looking like she will be progressing much anymore. I'll talk more about that later!
Well our new top investigator we have is named G. I may have mentioned him before but he's awesome! We were able to see him on Monday and Wednesday and he truly has a desire to know truth for himself. He keeps on telling us that he wants to believe that Joseph Smith is a prophet of god and that his church is Christ's original church but he needs the Holy Ghost to testify to him. He REALLY wants to know and he will get his answer soon. I have faith. It's pretty crazy bc he told us that when he saw us for the first time the Spirit forced him to yell at us and ask what we are doing. He didn't want to talk to us but the Spirit forced him so that was a miracle!
So now with C she's struggling pretty hardcore. She is having a hard time quitting smoking and she's taking it out on us. She came to church today and after the whole service was over she pulled me and Speck aside and talked/yelled at us about how she's a good woman and that should be enough to get baptized. It's pretty sad to see her struggling so much so prayers would be appreciated. We are going to try to see her one time and emphasize that she's not trying to quit because we tell her to it's because it's a commandment from God and if it is a commandment you need to do it! There is no questions about it! She's a very faithful person so hopefully she will understand.
Now on Tuesday we had our interviews with President Wakolo and it was amazing! He truly is such an amazing man and I learn and love so many things from him. In my interview with him we talked a lot about standing as a disciple of Christ no matter where you are or how hard you are being persecuted! It was just so awesome to hear his testimony! I am sure going to miss him when June comes around. I'll be looking for him on general conference though 😉
We were also able to so quite a bit of service this week so that was fun. On Thursday we helped the Stewart's with some yard work and it was sooooooo fun! I loved it so much! We got SUPER muddy and it was a blast. We dug some holes, dug out trees, planted trees, and it just reminded me of my landscaping job I had to summer before I left! The Stewart family is awesome as well. They have the most adorable kids! Plus both of them are super cool!
Probably the best thing that happened was Sunday though. We had a miracle take place. So Jaleel emailed us at 10:15 Saturday night saying that he can't come to church tomorrow bc his dad is making him go to his baptist church. Well Jaleel was supposed to get ordained to the aaronic priesthood this Sunday so there was a major conflict. We prayed hard that night that a miracle would take place and come to find out his dad had slept in and so Jaleel called sister Tobler and he made it! So JALEEL GOT THE PRIESTHOOD!! It was also Elder Specks bday so that was cool! Sunday was just a great day!
So this was my week and I'd love to hear about yalls! Y'all are awesome! Shine bright like a diamond!! 😁
