Spiritual thought: This is something I learned in my studies this week. From 1 Nephi 3:15 But behold I said unto them that: as the Lord liveth, and as we live, we will not go down unto our father in the wilderness until we have accomplished the thing which the Lord hath commanded us. Bruce R McConkie said about this scripture: "Nephi made God his partner. If he failed to get the plates it meant God had Failed. And because God does not fail, Nephi would not fail." If we make God our partner in all things we will not fail! Love you all!
Highlights from the past 2 weeks!
1) We put our Friend Carson on date!! Carson is part of a part member family; his in laws and his wife are all members and are in our ward. We had our first lesson with him last sunday and Elder Dorius and I  taught him the restoration, it went so well.  Carson is an Oklahoma city Police officer and he was just laser focused the whole time. At the end of the lesson we asked him when he finds out these things are true will he be baptized and he said yes so we set his date for Feb 27th and we are so hyped about it!
2) Transfers! Unfortunately my good friend Elder Dorius went home and he will be missed. But I got a new companion his name is Elder Entwistle and he is a beast, the only thing that kinda stinks is that he is a reassigned missionary and on Wednesday we got a call that he will be going back to his original mission of Chili so that is super sad but we are going to grind and have some fun before he leaves!
3) The work is going super good. Facebook is so amazing and we are learning so many things every week on how to use it and be more effective. We have found a couple of new people we are talking to through facebook and that are interested in learning about the gospel so we are super excited about that! Well that's pretty much it. Love you all!  Love Elder Asplund
