20 years of Thanksgiving!

Spiritual thought: Romans 8: 35) Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36) As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. 37) Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38) For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39) Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. I read this scripture this past week and I really loved it! The only person that can separate us from the love of Christ is ourselves. God loves you so much and he will never leave you so please don't ever leave him!
This week was really awesome and it went by so fast! We got our transfer calls last night and Elder Dorius and I will be staying together here in Mustang 1, I am so excited! Here are some highlights from this week!
Highlights: 1) We had a couple of really good lessons with Kenny this week, Kenny was supposed to get baptized this past week but his wife had to go into work and she really wanted to make it a special day so he pushed it back to this saturday! We taught him about the priesthood this week and he is super excited to be able to get it. He is doing really well and is super excited for his baptism this week! We had a bible study with Kathy again this week, it went really good we had about 8 members there again.  This week we talked about Hebrews 11 which talks about faith so it went really well. Hopefully we can have Kathy start taking interest in the restored gospel soon but until that happens these bible studies have been really good!
2) We had another MLC this week and it went really well, we talked about how we can help the mission achieve goals and some other things.  It was super good and I was excited to be a part of it. We had our last district council of the transfer and it was great because the AP's joined us so that was a cool experience. On Sunday we still didn't have church so our mission President held a mission wide Sunday devotional. We talked about the come follow me and we could invite our friends to join. President called us the night before and asked us if we could teach the come follow me lesson so we had the opportunity to do that and it was awesome! We talked about Ether 12-15 and Ether 12 is my favorite chapter so it was awesome to be able to teach that!
3)Thanksgiving was this past week and it was awesome! We went to the Murrey's for Thanksgiving dinner and they made the best food so let's just say we left more than full haha. But it was really awesome and Elder Dorius and I tried some new pies we had never tasted before..... and they were all amazing (buttermilk pie, pecan pie, sweet potato pie)!
This week was also my birthday. I turned 20 so that was pretty cool. Thank you all for your birthday and thanksgiving wishes and I hope y'all had a great Thanksgiving and watched LOTS of football for me! On saturday we went to a members house, the Cannons and they are the coolest family we got to make gingerbread houses with them and then BLOW them up haha it was pretty awesome! pictures to come
