“No one likes to fail. But we mortals do not become champions without effort and discipline or without making mistakes." Dieter F. Uchtdorf
Wow this quote hit me hard, I do not like to fail or lose in any way! But this quote totally changed my perspective on things. We all want to be champions in our own way and that takes effort not perfection. We will all make mistakes along the way but it is how we react to those mistakes that will determine if we are going to be champions or not. So when you get knocked down how are you going to react, are you going to let the adversary win or are you going to get up and keep battling with Christ on your side!
Well these past 2 weeks have gone super fast and a lot of cool things have happened so here are some highlights for y'all!
1) Last sunday We had a great lesson with the Mcquiod's about the plan of salvation and eternal families and during that lesson we had brother and sister Mcquiod bear their testimony to their two boys that haven't been baptized. The two boys decided to be baptized the following Sunday! Fast Forward to yesterday and after church brother Mcquiod got the priesthood and 2 hours later was able to baptize his 2 boys!! It was such an amazing experience to be a part of and to be able to see this entire family enter the waters of baptism and to see how it has blessed their lives!
2) We were part of two huge zone service projects, the first was at the salvation army, and the second was at the St. John's Baptist MIssionary church and we were able to help paint a new playground for their children for school and it was so awesome!
3) Yesterday we got our transfer calls and I will be transferred to Mustang 1 and I will be a zone leader in the OKC South Zone with Elder Dorrius! I have been able to work with Elder Dorrius a little bit and he is awesome and he is also Davis High graduate, 2018 so I am super excited to go there and to start another chapter in my mission!
