First Week as Zone Leader

Spiritual message: my spiritual message comes from Mosiah 24:14 And I will also ease the burdens which are put upon your shoulders, that even you cannot feel them upon your backs, even while you are in bondage; and this will I do that ye may stand as witnesses for me hereafter, and that ye may know of a surety that I, the Lord God, do visit my people in their afflictions.15 And now it came to pass that the burdens which were laid upon Alma and his brethren were made light; yea, the Lord did strengthen them that they could bear up their burdens with ease, and they did submit cheerfully and with patience to all the will of the Lord.
Turn to the Lord with all your burdens and he will help you! He loves you and wants to help you so let him! Love y'all hope you had a great week!
Day 1: Transfers! Today was crazy! So much stuff happened it was insane! I finished packing then we went to UCO's apartment to chill for a while then Elder Esmond  (my new comp) picked me up. We then picked up two other elders that are in our zone and we dropped them off in their area. As we are driving back we get a call from the Spanish elders in our zone telling us that a lady that gave them food a few days ago tested positive for the corona virus the same day she dropped off the food to them. And those elders were by everyone during transfers so we had to shut down transfers and it was pretty crazy we had a lot of phone calls with President and Sister Christensen and we figured it all out. Crazy first day as a zone leader.
Day 2: super busy day! We started the day with a call from Sister Christensen she told us everything was going to be OK so that was good. We then had to take a bed to the elders in deer 7 a companionship in our zone. We then had a lesson over facebook messenger with this guy named Duncan who lives in Kenya which was super cool! We then got to meet our bishop and he is super awesome. I'm excited to serve in this ward. We talked to a lot of our members and then we had a big zoom meeting with our zone and got to meet them and get to know them a little bit.
Day 3: Temple day! This morning we trained our district leaders how to be district leaders so that was fun. We then had a lesson with some members that just moved into the ward. We had 3 lessons today so that was awesome! One of the lessons was with this lady named Precious, we talked about the restoration and she loved the lesson and the spirit was so strong. We then had a meeting with our ward missionaries over facebook messenger and that was super cool. We made a trip to the OKC temple which is in our area and that was amazing.
Day 4: District Council! We started off the day with district councils. They  were over zoom calls so Elder Esmond and I  split up I went to one and he went to the other. We then had to drive to Clinton which is one of the areas in our zone to drop off a baptismal form. It was a 4 hour drive round trip so that was fun haha! We then had a lesson with Jolene Mcqiod, it was just a get to know you so nothing too exciting happened there. We had another lesson with this kid named AJ and it was a weird lesson. It was going super good and we had just talked about the first vision and the spirit was super strong then he passed out!! That was super weird. We tried to get his attention but we couldn't so we hung up and called back he answered and we told him to end the call and go get his dad.... so that was weird and that's how we ended the night haha.
Day 5: Zone Leader stuff! Today was filled with a bunch of Zone Leader stuff. We had to figure out all the miles and stuff for all the cars in the zone then we made some calls to our district leaders and Sister Training Leaders. We contacted some of our friends and did some facebook finding. So it was a pretty good day.
Day 6: Sabbath Day! Today was a pretty good day. We started off the day by taking the sacrament to 4 of the sisters in our zone so that is always fun. We had a lesson with a lady named Dawnette. She wants to be baptized but she needs to quit smoking and she wants to do that so we are excited for her. We then had another lesson with Precious and it was kinda weird, we were having a super good spiritual lesson talking about the holy ghost and blessings from the gospel and we asked her if this was something she wanted and she didn't say anything for a min so we asked her what was wrong and she says that she likes to smoke weed and doesn't want to give that up HA! So that was interesting but it was still a good lesson. We then had a phone call with the APs to end the night.
