This week has been pretty brutal! Its been a pretty tough week but i've been grinding through it! hope all of you are doing good! Well here is my week...
Day 1: Exchanges! Today I was on exchanges with Elder Olson he is one of my roommates. It was a lot of fun and I had my first bash today. We said hi to this guy who then told us to follow him....so we did and he took us to this frat house... turns out he is the president of the frat....Crazy! Well he talked to us about the trinity. Man, is the trinity such a stupid concept! But anyway we didn't bash back but we showed him some scriptures in the bible that might say other wise about the trinity, haha! Well by the end he was speechless and we gave him a BOM he said he would read it and get back to us! We got to watch a devotional put on the President Nelson that was so good and so powerful hopefully you all got a chance to see it! Well the day was almost over when I get this call from TU... It is from sharp chapel the people that run the ministries on campus. Well apparently people have been complaining that we are talking to too many people on campus and that we are approaching them instead of them approaching us which is not a rule so they kicked us off campus for the whole semester the frustrating thing is that we really don't know what we did wrong or how to fix it! I was devastated I had grown to love TU and to be dropped by a whole school really sucked so this has really crushed me.
Day 2: New missionary follow up! Today was a breath of fresh air! I was still devastated about TU but I went into follow ups with the best attitude I could. Basically followups are for all the new missionary's and its kind of like a training for the new missionaries and their trainer. It was so fun to see all the people I came out with and I learned so much from the training I got.
Day 3: Interviews! 3 week interviews with President Christensen were so nice. I got to voice my frustrations to someone and we got told that President was going to go to church personal affairs to have them talk to TU to see what happened and he gave me some good advice and council.
Day 4: Today we had to go up near TU and since we can't go on the campus we just walked around it, haha! We actually found one person his name is Lucas! He's way cool and we met him and talked to him for a little bit and I asked him if he was religious. He said he grew up religious but has a lot of questions and I said if you don't mind me asking what are your questions... he said why doesn't talk to us like he did back in the day like through prophets. I almost jumped in the air but i didn't I just said our church actually believes in modern day prophets! He said oh thats way cool here is my phone number lets talk, we were like ok sweet! He asked for us to call him!! So that was awesome!!! Other than that the day was pretty boring.
My spiritual thought for the week! 2 Nephi 2: 11-13 there has to be opposition to all things! We need not to be discouraged when we come across something that is hard or if we feel like we don't know enough, stick to the things that you know! And one thing that you should all know is that our Heavenly Father loves all of us more than any of us can imagine! Even if thats all you know hold on to that through all your challenges and your faith will grow and you will be better and be able to over come those challenges!
