Week 83 Creamed Possum in A Can & 6 Miles in the Snow

Hey yall! How was that for a title?

We had MLC in person for the first time in months. It was incredible to see everyone throughout the mission and hear about the successes in each Zone and area. Lots of missionaries in my mission are returning to their original assignments and we are getting more and more sisters in the mission (we have had a shortage for a while).

Elder Murdock and I have been super busy with our are, working with other missionaries and trying to keep up with the rest of the Zone. We feel like we are in the best place in the mission...surrounded by the best missionaries.

Guys I ran 6 miles in the snow! We woke up at 5:30 and went running on Tuesday. We're going to run 10 miles one morning by the end of the transfer.

A miracle from this week I would like to share with everyone was from yesterday on Sunday. We were taking out the garbage before knocking on peoples doors to remind them about church and a guy on a dirt bike came up to us. (Keep in mind its snowing here in Tennessee, we had about 6-7 inches) and he asked us where we were going. Long story short this guy comes to church with us and we teach him the Restoration while giving him a church tour and he tells us halfway through, "my best friend growing up was a member of your church. I never went with him, but I wish I would have. I think I just found my home here." What a miracle! Todd Merriss will be one of the newest members of the Gray Ward here in a few weeks.


My spiritual thought this week is about inflection points. Whoever doesn't know what that is, don't worry. I didnt know until he told us haha.

One of the definitions of inflection is:

Noun: inflection

A change in the form of a word (usually by adding a suffix) to indicate a change in itsgrammatical function
The patterns of stress and intonation in a language
= prosody
Deviation from a straight or normal course
= flection, flexion
A manner of speaking in which the loudness, pitch or tone of the voice is modified
= modulation
Inflection points are times in our lives , missions, relationships where we rise significantly above an obstacle, or the common, maudlin trajectory of normalcy or settling for mediocrity. Kinda like when my voice cracks every once in a while, but with your life progress.
