First, tomorrow I will be Facetiming you around 11:30 am. Yay!
Elder Summers and I buy more food than the other Elders we live with so they joke that we are buying food for a family of 6. I am eating healthier and that is why I buy more. The other Elders we live with now are Elder Lee and Elder Laird. Elder Laird is from Arizona and likes fixing trucks and working on a ranch. He has been serving a mission for about 9 months [and has a countdown he announces daily].
The chapel was pretty full for our Christmas sacrament meeting. Did you have a 1 hour meeting yesterday?
I am working on having the courage to approach people to talk to as we are walking around our area. It is tempting to avoid talking to others because it is easier.
Tuesday we had a multi-zone Christmas Devotional. I got to see Elder Bennett (MTC companion) there. President and Sister Layton shared spiritual thoughts, we had musical numbers, and then we watched "What a Wonderful Life". It was very enjoyable. A member in the mission donated stockings so that each missionary could have one. We had a gift exchange and I got a tie and a journal/notebook. Other missionaries have pretty expansive tie collections and mine is slowly growing. I got a package from Nanny and Papaw and a letter from Grandma and Grandpa.
