Yo Mamie those Mormon Boys are Here!

This week was full of tender mercies again!

One morning we were filling up on gas and I looked over to my left and saw a big red Ford truck! Instantly I thought of Brother Mullins from Lakeside Park who would take us to church each week. Then a couple seconds later Brother Mullins steps out of the truck and offers to take us to get something to eat! God really cares about us and wants us to be happy!

On Thursday night we were looking at the area book trying to find out where to go. A name kept popping out to me. Her name was Mamie Parker. Her record said she was
71+ so we decided to wait until the next day to stop by. Then the next day we got a text from the Relief Society President saying that she had been thinking about Mamie and wanted us to stop in and visit her. Obviously God wanted us to visit Mamie, so we did. We went to her house and knocked on her door. Someone came to the door and was super excited to see us! She yelled, "Yo, Mamie those Mormon boys are here!" Then the lady turned to us and said, "How in the World did you get our address?" Mamie yelled and said, "Send them up here." We preceded to walk through a cloud of cigarette smoke into a room with a TV blasting through the walls. Mamie was super excited to see us and began to tell us that she had just moved here and she recognized that there was a Baptist church down the street. She began to pray and told God that she didn't want to go to the Baptist church, but if she couldn't find a "Mormon" church then she would go to the Baptist. She asked God to send someone to help her go to church. Then we showed up! She also introduced us to her grandson Rante. He is 11 and said he wants to get baptized!!

I know God is preparing people for us to teach. This is his work!

Love you all!
