Snow x2

Another great week in the Nasty-Nati!
This week was pretty cold all week.  Then on Saturday night it started raining really hard.  As we were walking around people kept telling us to go inside because its going to be "Freezing rain" soon.  (Don't even ask me what freezing rain is...). Sunday morning we woke up to about 3" of fresh snow.  We began to get ready for Stake Conference as well as the baptism that was scheduled that afternoon. As we were driving to Stake Conference we got a call telling us that it was canceled because it was a "Level 2 snow emergency" (Don't even ask me what that means either)  We were pretty frustrated because that means that the baptism was going to be canceled. Sure enough a little bit later we got a call telling us that it was going to be postponed for the following week.  So Tyler's got to wait 1 more week to go through the gate! Instead of the baptism we spent the rest of the day shoveling snow! Which was a blast!
This week I was able to go on exchanges with a new missionary in Wilmington Ohio.  His name is Elder Leano.  He is from Canada!  During our companionship study he tells me that we are going to be teaching a guy named Bill and that him and his companion thought it would be a great idea to extend baptism to him.  I was pretty excited, but felt bad that his companion was going to miss the lesson. As we taught Bill I felt the spirit testify to me that this is God's work and He will accomplish His purpose in His timing.  We drew the Plan of Salvation out for him and during the part where we talk about our life on earth we talked about how it is essential that we are baptized by proper authority.  He seemed a little caught off guard and said, "I was baptized as a child, does that count?"  I could tell he was challenging us a little bit, but I felt the spirit guide our words as we taught.  Ultimately he accepted a baptismal date and was extremely excited to be baptized into Christs church!
Once again, I know that this is God's work.  There is no way that awkward 20 year old kid who has a hard time carrying an normal conversation should be able to teach the fullness of the gospel to people that feel like they already know Christ.  The only way that is possible is with God.I love this work.  It truly is the work of salvation and God is at the Helm!
Love you!
Elder Johnson
