Elder Adsit

Finding the Elect

We had a great week this week!!  I am still full from Thanksgiving, so I guess it was a good year! (Exact opposite from last Thanksgiving!! Lol)

This week we had to do a lot of planning and go to a few meetings, so we didn't have a ton of time to be out talking to people. Except for Friday... After all the meetings, Elder Adsit and I were ready to hit the ground running.  We traveled out to an area and helped a Less Active member move.  Afterwards we stopped by a guy named Tyler.  When we met him I realized that I had taught him over a year ago while on exchanges, and he remembered me! So that was sweet. Towards the end of the night we were trying to hit our goals of finding 2 new people.  We had a about 45 minutes before we had to go home, so we planned on going to a members home and asking them if they knew anyone that we could visit. We went to this members home and a guy came out wearing a Harry Potter T-Shirt.  (I don't know anything about Harry Potter, of course) I ended up complimenting him on his shirt and he said, "Thank you, it's my Girlfriends..."  We were taken off guard a little bit because the shirt was way to big for him, but it was a great avenue to begin talking with him.  To make a long story short, the member didn't live there and we were able to teach him on the door step about the purpose of life.  We go and visit him tonight. After we met him we still had about 15 minutes, so we tried by a potential.  We found out that the person we were looking for also didn't live there, but we met Zach and we were able to teach him.
It is amazing to me that God places people in our path everyday, that we can teach and testify of The Gospel!  I know that it is no coincidence that we are looking for someone, but end up teaching someone else. I know this work is true.  By testifying of Christ everyday for a while now, I have come to know my him much more!
Love you all!
