Wow wasn't General Conference amazing!!! We were able to watch it with 2 Recent Converts and it was cool that there were at least 2 talks directed towards recent converts and fellowshipping!

The main thing that stood out to me, during Conference was that each speaker cared so much about our relationship with God! Each message invited us to one unto Christ. The messages weren't trying to tell us what we need to do, but inviting us and encouraging us to become better!!

In between sessions on Saturday we went and tried to find people to teach. We went to an area and knocked on doors of people who had been taught previously.

One of the 1st doors we knocked on had a sticker on the door that said, "I love Jesus". In my mind I was thinking, "Well if you love Jesus so much then you would defiantly want to talk to us."

After a few seconds a lady came to the door and that's when we found out the sticker on the door was not lying!! She recognized us as Jesus people and invited us to talk with her.

Her name is Helen Church and she is the second happiest person I have ever met! (Behind my little sister, Andrea) I have to believe she is so happy because she relies entirely on God and Christ! She is 79 years old, so at times she would repeat herself, but honestly I didn't even care because she would tell us so many amazing faith promoting experiences she has had in her life.

I know that the Gospel of Jesus Christ brings happiness. God loves us and wants us to become as He is. That is only possible through the Atoning sacrifice of His son. Christ is central to the Gospel. He makes it possible for us to become as God.

After she told us about her experience she asked each of us to tell her about an experience we have had.

At that time I was able to "...remember how merciful the Lord hath been..."

I pondered about the many amazing experiences that have solidified my testimony. The one that stuck out most was my decision to serve a mission! That decision has helped me to come to know God more than anything else!

The next one that stuck out was my testimony of the Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon has helped me through a lot of trials in my life.  I can say that the Book of Mormon has helped me to become happy.

We showed Helen the picture of Christ visiting the people in America and asked her what stands out to her.  She looked at it very intently.  (Keep in mind she has no context on this picture yet.) . After she had scanned the picture she said, "These people seem very glad to see Jesus.  They almost look like they have been waiting for them!  I am waiting for Jesus and I cannot wait for him! "We told her that was exactly the case.  We told her about where the Book comes from and then told her the purpose of the Book.  After this she looked at the cover and saw "Another Testament of Jesus Christ"  Then she said, "I am willing to read anything that talks positively about my Lord and Savior."  Then held it to her chest! As we were teaching I felt the spirit testify of the divinity of the Book of Mormon.  I know it is true.  I also felt so much love and compassion for Helen and her love for Christ!
