Elder Adam Millet

What a week!

Elder Millett and I worked really hard this week and saw a lot of miracles!

As a district we set a goal to find 19 new Investigators. (which is a huge number compared to our previous weeks) The only way we could have that happen is Petitioning God, working hard, and each companionship needed to find at least 6 new investigators. Elder Millett and I asked God everyday to bless us with people that would be put in our path that are prepared to receive the message of the restoration. As we went throughout the week we found a few but it took a lot of work, I was not sure why it was so hard for us to find people to teach. Saturday night we had found 4 new and the district had found 13 new. I was a little discouraged, but then a thought came to my mind, "We still have one more day, maybe the reason it has been so hard was because God truly had at least 2 people that are really prepared to hear our message."

Sunday we had one lesson set up for 4 pm with a girl we had met a couple weeks ago named Christina.

How we found her: We were walking down broad street in the freezing cold (3 degrees) there was not a soul in sight, but we kept walking. Then we get to a gas station and we see a girl walking our way. (for some reason I am scared to talk to girls again while I have been on my mission (; I feel like I am in 8th grade again.) but I put my fear behind me and asked if she wanted to hear a message about Christ. She stopped dead in her tracks and said, "sure" I felt really bad for her in the cold so I asked if we could come by her house later and share that message. She graciously accepted.

We went to her house and she and 2 others in the house all wanted to hear the message. She had told her whole family about us and that we were coming over. The spirit was so strong during the lesson and they all accepted to read the Book of Mormon! It was God's timing. God could of put 3 random people in our path to help us with our goal, but maybe we wouldn't of went and seen Christina because we had already met our goal. Or maybe the 2 others that were with Christina at the time wouldn't of been there if we went at a different time. He is in the little things in our lives and he cares about us!

Long story short we ended up finding 18 new Investigators. Which was one short of our goal :( but exceeded our previous weeks performances.

This old guy back at home once told me to P.A.C.E. myself. I had no idea what that meant at the time so I asked him, "What do you mean" He told me P.A.C.E. yourself means "A Positive Attitude Changes Everything" I know this to be true. The world could be falling all around you, but if you look for God's hand in your life every single day then you won't notice anything else but good!

Love you all

Elder Johnson
