Dree's Baptism

Pretty darn good week!

Saturday we went to Dree's baptism in Anderson. Dree lives in New Castle, but because of situations she got baptized in Anderson! Elder Millett and I were able to teach her a little. She is hilarious, and the Gospel is really starting to change her life!! She invited a bunch of non-members to the baptism including her husband, who hates missionaries...

Me, being some what prideful but also curious about why he hates missionaries decided to go and talk to him before the baptism. The second we started talking something just clicked! We got along very well! He loves cars and is really good at restoring them. I talked to him about cars for awhile and he had his heart softened a little bit.

When Dree and Elder Hoppe (The elder preforming the baptism) were changing, my companion and I had the opportunity to lead everyone in some songs and teach about the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ! As we sang "Jospeh's first prayer" and as Elder Millett recited the first vision I, as well as the audience, felt the spirit so strong!! I then had the opportunity to bare testimony of the Restoration! It was a great experience! I could tell that Dree's Husband felt the spirit too!

I know that we are literal spirit children of our Heavenly Father, and just as I know that my earthly father loves me, I know that my Heavenly Father loves me. He loves all His Children and that is why He presented a plan for us to become like Him. That is also why He sent his son! God has always worked through Prophets. He shows his love by calling Prophets. I know that He called Joseph Smith to be the prophet to restore, lead and direct the church. Successors are also called of God and they receive revelation for us! I am grateful for the love God has shown for us, by calling another Prophet!
