Hey y'all, its been a couple weeks! Hope y'all are doing fine! A couple of Mondays ago I was transferred to my third area, Coldwater Michigan! Quite the name I know, very original. My New companion is Elder Garvin, he's from Highland Utah and has been out only 3 months, so he's a youngin'. I've had a great couple of weeks here so I will get started!
Monday June 5th was transfer day, so we got the apartment all cleaned up and locked it up! We stuffed our Ford Fusion with all our stuff and headed to the stake center. Elder Burton got on the transfer van at 10 am so I went with Elders Murphy and Tindall, and because it wasn't pday, went and did some work. We taught Gloria so that she could be handed off well to the other elders. Then at around 5 pm I got on the transfer van and headed to Battle Creek to meet my new companion. We drove home and had a quick dinner with some members, the Clarks, and got to know them a bit.
The rest of the week went as follows: went finding obviously, met with their recent converts Tim and Leann who are awesome, went on splits with the ward mission leader and another guy, taught a cool less active named Kyle, and have been trying to contact potentials and less actives.
My first Sunday was really good, got to meet a lot of the members. had my first call ins, where I call the other members of my district and get their numbers for the week and then give them to the zone leaders. Pretty crazy stuff.
Last week we went up to Kalamazoo for pday and got to meet some of the missionaries and play some fun games. We then went on trade offs and I went to Kalamazoo with Elder Dunn, one of the zone leaders. He is such a cool guy and a great missionary, I learned a lot from him. The zone leaders work the Western Michigan university campus and that was a cool experience talking to college age kids. I taught my first district meeting on Wednesday, and I thought it went alright. We discussed relying on the Spirit, and had a really good discussion. Then for the rest of the week we hit the pavement and tried to find people to teach! That's where we are at right now, trying to find new investigators.
Sorry for the rushed email, not a whole lot of time left today. If you have emailed me this last week or today, I'll respond next week! Love you all and have a great week!
