Mother's Day week!

Hey all! Been a another good week. I hear there was some rainfall there, that's exciting! Michigan has been getting it on and off for a couple weeks now. Good ole Michigan weather! Hope you all had a great week! Here's what happened

Monday after our p-day usuals, we went to the stake center and played some volleyball and basketball. Just another p-day.

Tuesday we were able to do service at the Christian community place, knock some doors and then teach a new less active we found. Her Name is Gloria and we found her knocking. We tracted part of this trailer park (which we found out later we were not supposed to) and found her. She said she had been converted in 2004 and when she moved to Rockford, she fell away and wondered where the Mormon missionaries were. Well there we were, it was a total miracle, that trailer park hadn't been planned, but we felt we should go in there. We taught her twice, Tuesday and Friday, and got to know her and then taught the Restoration. She loved it, and I know she felt the spirit! Our plans are to get her to the temple, as she has never been!

Wednesday, we had district meeting with our new district leader Elder Thompson. He conducted a great meeting and is a true leader. A lot of insights were shared about how we can use our time wisely. We did some tracting, contacted some potentials, and had dinner. One of our investigators, April, shined us so that was pretty sad.

Thursday was a long day, we tracted just about all day until dinner at 6pm. We knocked some areas that haven't been touched in a while and we found a couple people to contact. We talked to a lot of nice people, so that was good.

Friday was our walk day, so after weekly planning we went out to talk to people and contact some we had already talked to. We were stopped by a few girls that are from BYU- Idaho, out in Michigan for the summer selling pesticide. They were super nice and it was cool to be able to talk to a few members! We taught Gloria the restoration, that went awesome! I got to mow her lawn afterwards too, haven't done that in a long time, and it was great! We had a brief lesson with Ian, because he had to go somewhere, but he is still reading and praying, so we hope and pray he prays sincerely and the Lord answers his prayer.

Saturday we were able to do some service for Nasa. We have not seen her in a while, but we helped her out, renewed contact and set up an appointment, so hopefully she doesn't shine us again. We contacted a potential, which rescheduled for this week and did some more door knocking. We then went and returned some rakes to some members, who then fed us and then we helped them with a hole for there trampoline.

Sunday We had a great Mothers day service, lots of great talks and a special number from the primary. Ill be honest, I almost cried during the song it was so touching. And to top it all of I got to talk to my family on Skype! That was awesome and I definitely cant wait til Christmas! Love you mom!

Thanks everyone for all your love and support! Love ya all!
