A pretty successful week!

Hello friends and family! Its been another good week and I hope you all had a great one too! Thanks to all who responded to my email about member missionary work! I thank you all again for your advice and thoughts about that! It will really help me here in the Grand Rapids ward. So here's what happened last week:

Monday was pday and you know by now what goes on and what we got to get done. We hung out with our district and visited a couple thrift stores. Nothing too exciting.

Tuesday we went and did some more door knocking and contacted some potentials. We were able to teach a quick lesson and get a return apt with a less active we haven't seen in a while. That evening it was my turn to teach book of Mormon class, so that was fun we read Jacob chapters 6-7.

Wednesday we had district meeting on how we can help the members with their missionary work (definitely inspired). We continued to go door knocking later that day pretty much all day. We talked to a good amount of people and no one was interested.

Thursday after our weekly planning we went out and walked around downtown to talk to people and knock a little bit. We didn't have any success, but it may have been because of the weather, it was raining off and on.

Friday We knocked some more but we were able to find two pretty solid potentials. We were actually able to teach them both this past weekend too. It was awesome! We taught our investigator Ian. He's a great guy but we are starting to think he is meeting with us just out of curiosity, so we will see here pretty soon.

Saturday we were able to do some service for a member, The Magistris, so we were able to get our hands dirty a little bit and help them on their property. I haven't done that in a while and to tell you the truth I miss yard work. Super fun and they fed us dinner and we had a sugar cream pie, the greatest creation ever! It is Indiana's state pie and I can't even describe, it is awesome!

Sunday we were able to teach Nasa, the one potential we found on Friday. That was great, although we did not get far in the lesson because she liked to rant a little. but we gave her a book of Mormon and invited her to read it. We pray she will be sincere and desirous.

That is our week. Thank you all again for your responses! have a great week and I'll talk to ya all soon!
