Hope you all had a great week and a Merry Christmas! I had a great week! Me and Elder Laing have been fighting some illnesses as well, me a sinus infection and he a blown ear drum. Yep so we spent most of yesterday trying to get some medication for his ear. He is doing good now!
Monday was pday and we did everything we needed to and then went to the Oberlins (a family in the ward) and gave them a Christmas present from us! We have been helping them finish their house and so we thought we would get them matching door handles. So we did and installed them for them and they loved it!
Tuesday We had trade offs so I was with one of our Zone leaders, Elder Lowder. He is an awesome missionary, and I learned a lot from him! We were able to do some finding and even teach and pick up an investigator! We have been struggling to find new Investigators over the past few weeks so that was a blessing! We traded back later that night and I wasn't feeling well (the start of my sinus infection) and so they gave my a blessing. The power of the priesthood is real!
Wednesday we had our Half- Mission Christmas party in Mt. Pleasant. That was cool being their and being with other missionaries. We played lots of games and had a devotional from the president and his wife. I had a blast!
Thursday we had our weekly planning and then taught Traci her second new member lesson. She is doing great! We are planning a temple trip with her and she is so excited to go! We had Christmas Eve dinner with the Rileys (our ward mission leader), which was awesome!
Friday, of course, was Christmas! That was great! Even though it was a little different and my first away from home, it was so fun! The best gift was facetiming the family! I loved seeing them and hearing their voices! We had Christmas dinner with the Oberlins and had a tasty ham! It was awesome!
Saturday We were car-less so we went street contacting and taught a few new active member lessons that the mission has started.
Sunday was quite the day. Elder Laing popped his ear drum so we went and figured that out after church. He was in pain most of the day. Poor guy is feeling better now.
Thank you all so much for the gifts and cards! Thanks for making my Christmas special! Love you all, and hope you have a great week!
