Letter from Elder Kaas-5/19/19

This past week was really good, Tuesday not a lot of people were home but we still were able to visit a few members. On Wednesday, we met with one of our investigators and shared with him that if a church has Jesus Christ name then it is His true church. He really enjoyed the message and we invited him to church, and he said he was really going to start trying to come more. Thursday we had a lesson again with our old investigator who wants to go to SLC to see the temple, and during that lesson for the first time, he said he maybe should get baptized here so that was really good to hear! Later in the day, we took one of the YSA preparing for mission, on splits with us. Friday we had trade offs and I was with one of the zone leaders, we both go home together and we both started in the south mission. We went and met some of the families in the ward who I haven't met yet and then we had our sports night for which a lot of people came to play volleyball! On Saturday , we visited a few members and in the afternoon we watched one of our members local club rugby matches and even though he got yellow carded it was good! On Sunday, we had a great opportunity to go and see President Nelson in the city for a devotional for all the members in Australia! It was really good and Elder Gong was there, so was president Haleck of the 70. It was really good to see the prophet and he spake very plain and simple things which were very spiritual. It was a blessed opportunity to see him! I know he is a true prophet of God. I also got to see some of my recent converts and old members from past wards. I am very grateful for that experience.
