Elder Kaas-Australia Week 3

Dear Mom and Dad,
This week went by pretty fast. Monday was P day and we went to the park and kicked the football around. We had dinner at the district president's house. They asked if I ever had Vegemite and I said no so one of their kids went and toasted some bread, put some on it, and gave it to me. It wasn't bad, I liked it. They were shocked because usually when people first try it they hate it. After dinner we taught an investigator at the Sullivan's house. We taught about faith and it went really well. She was quiet at first but she opened up a lot as time went by. I also got a sweet as hat. The next day we helped an elderly lady from the branch pack up things because she is moving into another house. After that we went trackting but not many people wanted to talk. Lots of people have "me own religion". We checked up on a few people and made appointments for next week because this upcoming week is vacation for all the kids in school and lots of people are going to be out of town. We got to teach another investigator named Steve. We read the Book of Mormon with him. He has had some hard times lately. He wants to be baptised but has a smoking problem. On Friday we went to Orange for Zone and District Conference. The spirit was very strong there. I had an interview with President Bingham. He is awesome. He is very spiritual and is a really good speaker. We also got to hear from President Leota of the quorum of the 70. He is also a really good speaker he talked about letting the youth be the leaders in the youth programs instead of having the adults do everything. My favourite thing I have eaten so far is lamb chops. I do not know how long I will be in Cowra. They say lots of new missionaries are coming in next transfer and everyone one in my zone is joking around saying that I am going to train someone new in Cowra next transfer. I would be happy with that. Cowra is a cool place. Sounds like the family is doing well. Good to hear Dad is doing well with his weight loss. I haven't gained any weight. I am still 74 kg's which is about 165 lbs. Hope Madden and Chloe are being good. Love you guys.

Sincerely,

Elder Kaas
