Hey!! Sorry it's been a minute since I typed up one of these weekly's, but at least I got some stuff to tell yall about!
So to start, Transfers are happening this week on Tuesday. Elder Wilson is not gonna be my companion anymore BUT they made him a Kearney Zone Leader so he's just going to stay in the same ward!! So I'll still be seeing him all the time, That also means he's gonna be in this ward until he finishes his mission, so he will be in the Kearney ward a total of 9 months!
I also got told that I'm TRAINING! I don't know how someone would trust me with a brand new missionary but I guess miracles really do happen! I don't know who he is or anything yet but I'll get all that info when I pick him up from Omaha tomorrow morning and drive 3 hours back to Kearney... yay.
These past few weeks have been really good though! We have two kids named Brooklyn and Logan who are progressing towards baptism! Elder Wilson has been teaching Brooklyn guitar while I've been doing basketball lessons with Logan. After 30 mins of that we all get together and do a 30 min gospel lesson/discussion! It's super hype! Their mom was baptised when she was young but hasn't been to church in years so we're also getting her back into the church groove at the same time.
Other than that we just been #grinding trying to find some worthwhile people who are interested. Lotta love for Nebraskans.
Today for P-day our Ward Mission Leader paid for all 6 missionaries in the ward and a few other members to go golfing, the first stroke was by a dude named Brother Johnson and he HOLED IT!! We were losing our minds. We literally couldn't believe what we saw lol! dumb hype!
Anyways hope you enjoy these pics! I'll probs email in like 2 weeks but hit me back if you guys want and I'll answer all my emails next week when I ain't busy from transfers!
anywayssss here's a lil spiritual thought to enlighten your minds on this fine day;
I was reading in 1 John and came across these verses in Chapter 4.
7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
This is extremely important to me as a missionary, because there are always gonna be people who slam the door, disrespect you, do things to hurt you either emotionally or physically... But God taught us to love one another, to turn the other cheek, and to always love those even when they do not love you. That is how we can truly know God and HIS eternal love for US.
Anyways here's some pics. I don't feel like writing descriptions for any of them so just feast your eyes and enjoy the pixels that make up these pictures on your computer or phone screen. LOVE YALL!!!
