Out of Tomsk, Through Finland, and Into Novosibirsk

So we started this week by blitzing the members in Tomsk, trying to stop by as many as we could before I left! It was awesome to see everyone one more time before I left. It's always a nerve-wracking experience leaving a branch where you've lived so long, where you know and love everyone and where you know what to do, where to go, how to help. The mission seems to be great practice for moving wards in normal life; the best strategy when arriving to a new ward is to dig in and start making friends from day one. I can already tell that I'm going to love the Novosibirsk branch, they are fantastic and I've already hit it off with a bunch of the members! Super excited for the next three months!
On Wednesday night we drove down to Novo, and Thursday morning I got to go participate in the welcome seminar for the new trainees that just came in. They're a way cool bunch, way excited to work with them!
Friday morning we woke up at 2 AM and commenced a non-stop sprint through countries and airports that didn't end until 2 PM on Saturday. A solid 36 hours of nothing but plane sleep, security checks, and a Finnish buffet (that was an upside). I'll be honest, I actually love visa trips. We can proselyte in the Finnish airport, which is awesome, but the success always seems to come when we're coming back to our area after the madness. The taxi driver that took us back from the airport had a TON of really good questions about the gospel, and we got to tell him a ton. At the end of the ride he asked for our number, in case he had any more! We exchanged numbers and we're excited to work with him.
Church on Sunday was a blast! Like I said, the members in Novo are great. And the work is moving forward full steam here! Last week there were two baptisms of solid men, Oleg and Henry. Henry's from Nigeria. We have some really solid investigators right now; Nikolai is a stand-out. He walked into the church last week with his wife and son, and Elders Creer and Steed able to talk to him. He has some incredible true desire, and has already expressed a desire to be baptised!! We're super excited to continue teaching him and his family, they truly are golden!
Thanks for everything!! Love you all!!
