I am officially here in Tomsk! It's a gorgeous city. There are about 550,000 people, over 100,000 of which are college students! Definitely a change from the Ulan-Ude demographic. The branch is great, the building is huge and way pretty. We've got some potentials that we're working with, I've got really high hopes for a man named Valeri. He is the husband of a longtime member here in Tomsk, and also works as the building caretaker and visa clerk. He has been investigating for a few years, but is waiting for a miracle to confirm to him that the church is true. He is awesome, and I think we can get him the last little way to baptism. Keep him in your prayers!
This week has been way busy, traveling and wrapping everything up in Ulan-Ude. It was definitely hard to leave, I've come to love the members there so much. We had a great lesson with Fyodor, he and his mom are on track still for the 25th of November. He's going to be a great addition of the branch, and I hope I can make it back to Ulan-Ude before the end of my mission to see him again.
Elder Bringhurst, my new companion, is awesome! We've already totally hit it off. He is fresh out of training, but he's already picking up the language quick. We're going to have a great time here.
Love you all so much! Thanks for everything!
Elder Lawrence
