how fortunate I am to have God and Jesus Christ's restored gospel in my life
Heyo! How's it going? Hope you are all doing well! I'm doing just dandy over here in good old Taylorsville. This week has been a blast! We've had some fun times and some weird times with more fun to come! For starters, we had an opportunity to go on exchanges with the assistants! I went with Elder Bartolo. Before the exchange I really didn't know him so it was a great opportunity to get to know him and learn from him. I miss the days of 24 hour exchanges but the 3 hours we had were good. We were also able to do a quick companionship study with Elders Vassau, Clarke, and Utzinger. That was a lot of fun. So earlier in the week the assistants told Elder Keh and I that President has asked us to watch these two missionaries for a day while they are waiting for their flight to Guam! That is going to be so much fun! One is new coming from Cedar City and the other is currently serving in Michigan. We can't wait to show them how awesome our mission is! Something kinda weird we did this week was dig a doggy grave :((. One of the members had to put down her dog and she asked us to come dig a little grave for him. We had met that dog before so it was pretty sad but that's ok they gave us chocolate to cheer us up. We're still clicking along with Imua, we'll be meeting with him today. We're finishing up his lessons and he's progressing well and is totally ready for his baptism on the 6th! We still haven't been able to get into contact with the Thornton family but we're going to try working through members this week to see if we can get something set up. Anyway, this week we've talked a lot about missionary work with those we've met with. It's really made me think how fortunate I am to have God and Jesus Christ's restored gospel in my life. I feel like the world is going nuts right now, there is so much contention. There are so many people desperately looking for some kind of peace and hope right now and it's such a blessing to help them find it. I know that true peace can only come through Jesus Christ. It doesn't matter what religion you affiliate with, take time to get to know your savior by reading the Bible or the Book of Mormon. I promise you that as you do so all this craziness in the world will seem to take a back seat and be less of an issue to you personally. It's a great feeling! Have a great week!!
